OOG OTP Challenge Day 7: Cosplaying

Guude and BdoubleO go to Comic Con!
Day 7: Cosplaying
BdoubleO was at his house, sitting on the couch, and scrolling through channels, waiting for his boyfriend Guude to come pick him up. BdoubleO had reluctantly agreed to go to Comic Con with Guude, it wasn't really his thing, and the idea of being surrounded by a bunch of people dressed up in silly costumes was quite the turnoff. However, Guude seemed very excited about going to the convention with him, so BdoubleO agreed. At least he and Guude wouldn't be wearing any costumes.
Right when BdoubleO had finally decided to watch the cooking network, he was greeted with a knock on his wooden door. BdoubleO turned off the TV before getting up and walking over to the door, opening it up, expecting to see Guude. What he saw, shocked him.
It was indeed Guude standing at the door, however it was Guude dressed in tight black leather that shimmered with sparkling glitter, and had silver studs on it. Guude was also wearing a giant wig that resembled a rocker's hairstyle, that BdoubleO thought had died in long ago in the 80's. Guude was also wearing black eyeliner, and a large frilly looking neck tie.
"What the hell are you wearing?" BdoubleO spat out, dumbfounded by what was the most odd sight he had ever seen.
"I'm David Bowie from the Labyrinth, duh. Did the hair not give it away?" Guude said, as if this was a totally normal and obvious thing. "Now go put your costume on, I wanna get there early, before all the long lines, Y'know?"
"What are you talking about, costume! I thought we were just gonna go there dressed like we always are, and were just gonna walk around for a few hours then leave!" BdoubleO said, this miscommunication immediately caused Guude to frown.
"Aw, c'mon guy, you gotta dress up, it's comic con!" Guude said, moving forward and placing his hands on BdoubleO's shoulders, he then proceeded to look BdoubleO in the eyes and frown.
"Fine, I'll pick up a costume there or something, I'm sure they're bound to have tons..." BdoubleO said, upset and defeated.
Guude rolled his eyes and walked to the door, attempting to keep BdoubleO from slipping away back into the house so he didn’t have to go to the convention.
“It won’t be that bad, guy. Trust me, I’ve been to these before and they’ve all been a blast!” Guude consoled BdoubleO, who put on a face to look at least slightly excited, but really he was just going to humor Guude at this point.
“It might’ve been better if you had told me before we were walking out the door that I needed a costume!” he shot at Guude, who looked at him with an apologetic look in his eyes. BdoubleO sighed, realizing he’d been harsher than he’d intended to be, and hugged Guude. “I’m sorry, I’m just not as into all this stuff as you are. I shouldn’t have snapped at you, and I’ll try to make it up to you while we’re there, okay?”
“Well, I’m just happy you’re even coming. I really thought you’d just be so stubborn once I told you you’d need a costume that I’d never be able to rip you from the couch and get out the door,” Guude admitted. “That’s really why I didn’t tell you before. Sorry.”
“Guude, it’s fine. I guess we should just forgive and forget all the drama and just get on down to your day of fun,” BdoubleO told Guude supportively. They hopped into Guude’s car and drove downtown to the convention center, only to be assaulted by a massive crowd of people and cars in the parking garage and surrounding streets.
“Holy crap, this thing has overrun a city block,” BdoubleO said, astonished by the number of people present, and 90% of them were wearing costumes related to their favorite characters, whether it be Iron Man, Captain America, Deadpool, Rick Grimes, Darth Vader, or some other character. There were far too many to count, and BdoubleO was struck with worry that he and Guude might not be able to get tickets into the place with how many were in attendance.
“Hey, Guude… You wouldn’t happen to already have tickets or anything, would ya?” BdoubleO asked hesitantly as Guude navigated the car through the parking garage to find an open parking spot.
“Huh? Oh, yeah, I bought ‘em months ago. Trying to buy tickets to this thing the day of is hell on earth,” he muttered, and BdoubleO guessed he spoke from experience. Guude took a couple of minutes to find a parking spot, and it was certainly a hike to get to the elevators down to the street level and the convention center, but that inconvenience wasn’t anything compared to the crowds of people.
“Sorry, pardon us, excuse me, sorry,” Guude and BdoubleO shot out to swathes of people as they fought to make their way through an ocean to get to the doors of the convention center. Clearly, everyone there was there for different reasons and attractions, and as such, everyone seemed to be trying to get somewhere else, making it that much more difficult to get to the door.
Finally, the couple made it to the door, letting out a sigh of relief as the massive crowds were stemmed slightly by the ticket checkers. Inside the convention center, it was much cooler than it was outside in the sun (certainly for most with full-body costumes), and the crowds were much more manageable, not as eager to get everywhere at once but rather just enjoying everything inside at a much calmer pace.
“This isn’t that bad,” BdoubleO admitted, looking through a rack of t-shirts with designs of various superheroes and movie series’. Guude nodded, eyes wide like a kid in a candy store, looking around at all the different things in the large room.
"Oh look, Boo! Here, this is great for you!" Guude said, BdoubleO turned to see Guude holding a pair of black pants, and a red Star Trek shirt. "You like Star Trek, right? Besides, this isn't exactly an overbearing costume" Guude said with a giggle.
"Well, I do like Star Trek... Can I get that shirt in a color that's not red?" BdoubleO said with a smile, causing Guude to perk up even more.
After a quick trip to the restroom and a change of clothes, BdoubleO now looked the part of a member of The Star Trek Enterprise, wearing black pants and a yellow shirt.
"See, cosplaying isn't so bad, now is it guy!" Guude said with a smile, wrapping an arm around BdoubleO's shoulders.
"I still think you look ridiculous" BdoubleO said in return, though clearly no malice in his voice.
"Whatever, you're just jealous you didn't come up with my costume first" Guude said jokingly, causing BdoubleO to roll his eyes with a smile on his face.
“I don’t think it would have ever crossed my mind to look like you do right now, Guude,” BdoubleO teased him, earning himself a light punch to the shoulder. “Come on, let’s go find something cool to look at.”
Over the next two and a half hours, BdoubleO and Guude had gone all over the convention center, looking at booths with video game and movie character merchandise, waited in a couple of the shorter lines for signings and meetings with actors and writers and directors. Despite himself, BdoubleO actually felt himself beginning to enjoy being there, although he had to admit that he could’ve gone for a size bigger on the tight black pants he’d gotten, as they were a bit uncomfortable with how much walking they’d done.
“Ooh, look at that!” Guude called out to him from a bit farther ahead, before rushing off into a booth to look at whatever had caught his eye. BdoubleO smiled knowingly, trying to free up some space in the pile of things he was carrying. Guude had been going a bit overboard with the memorabilia he’d found and subsequently bought in the short time they’d been there, and BdoubleO was, of course, in charge of carrying it all, not that he minded too much. He was happy seeing Guude so happy and enthusiastic about being here.
When he turned the corner, he found Guude talking to a man with blonde-ish hair, who was gesturing to what Guude was wearing. He was a bit confused, but he walked over to Guude to see what was going on.
“BDubs!” Guude said excitedly as he came over. “This is David Bowie! And I’m dressed like him!” BdoubleO almost began to laugh at how giddy Guude was acting about this, but he gave a gestured greeting to David Bowie, unable to shake his hand or anything of that sort because he was holding all of Guude’s things.
“Hello there. Your friend here is wearing the best, and only costume I’ve seen of myself from that movie all day. I was just comparing the similarities between us,” the actor said kindly, making Guude make a small squeaking sound in excitement and happiness. Frankly, with the way Guude was reacting, BdoubleO was surprised that he hadn’t passed out when he had seen him.
After a long talk with the actor, who had seemed happy to oblige in Guude’s questions and excitement, BdoubleO and Guude finally began to head out of the convention center, Guude beaming and clutching a signed poster from David Bowie (of course, a Labyrinth poster).
Once they had arrived back at Guude's place, and had put all the stuff where Guude wanted it, ending with the poster being hung right above Guude's bed, BdoubleO and Guude sat down on the couch, exhausted.
"So?" Guude asked, still beaming with joy from the day's activities.
"So what?" BdoubleO asked, confused, but obviously happy.
"So, how was it? You totally a had a good time, didn't you?" Guude said smiling, BdoubleO laughed a bit before answering.
"Yeah, I guess I did have a lot of fun watching you walk around in leather all day" BdoubleO said, continuing to laugh.
"See, I knew you'd have fun, guy!" Guude said, hugging BdoubleO tightly. BdoubleO simply smiled at how happy he had made Guude, and hugged him back.
