OOG OTP Challenge Day 4: On a Date

BdoubleO walked up the few stone stairs that led up to Guude's dark oak front door, a rose in hand. After a deep breath, BdoubleO knocked on the door sternly. After a short moment, he was greeted by the smiling face of Guude.
"BDubs! To what do I owe this pleasure?" Guude asked in a cheerful tone, seemingly oblivious to the rose in BdoubleO's hand.
"Well Guude, I was wondering if you uh, might want to go get dinner with me tonight." BdoubleO cursed himself for stuttering, he was usually much smoother when asking people out, why Guude was any different he had no idea. BdoubleO quickly held out the rose he was holding, Guude taking it to kindly.
"Aww, thanks, BDubs! This is so nice!" Guude said, flashing him a dazzling smile. "You're such a thoughtful guy, guy," Guude said as he pulled BdoubleO into a hug. BdoubleO felt himself blushing at Guude's gratification when they hadn't even left to go on the date yet.
As they separated from the hug, Guude noticed his reddened cheeks and giggled a bit, pointing it out, as BdoubleO felt himself redden even more, this time in embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry, I guess I'm just a little bit nervous," BdoubleO admitted. Guude smiled softly at his words.
"Hey, you're supposed to be the calm and collected one. I'm not letting you be more nervous than I am right now," Guude told BdoubleO with a chuckle, making BdoubleO start laughing as well.
"I know, I'll let you keep that role. Are you ready to go, or did you want to spend some time getting ready? Not to say you don't look great right now!" BdoubleO hurriedly corrected himself. Guude smiled and shook his head, taking BdoubleO's hand and pulling him down the steps.
"Lead the way, handsome," Guude teased him, letting BdoubleO begin to walk them to their destination.
Eventually the two arrived at a small restaurant near the beach, it wasn't exactly a suit and tie type place, but it was certainly nice. The restaurant's walls and floors were decorated with beige and sea foam green colors. BdoubleO and Guude entered, and were then seated by the window, as to get a view of the beach.
"Wow, this place is nice, and to think I didn't even know it existed till now" Guude said, looking out the window at the beach.
"What? You've never been here before! Oh, this place is my favorite!" BdoubleO said enthusiastically, Guude smiled in return, which caused BdoubleO to smile as well. After some more small talk they were greeted by their waitress.
"What would you like to eat tonight sirs?" She said in a kind and soft tone.
"Oh, well we'll both have the steak, I'll have mine medium-rare, and he'll have his well done. I-if that's okay with you" BdoubleO said, Guude nodded in agreement and then the waitress took their menus and left.
"Ooh, ordering for the both of us, how romantic" Guude said before chuckling a bit.
"I just knew that you always liked getting steak when you go to fancy places. Or at least when we went to that one fancy place with the other guys a couple months ago," BdoubleO told Guude, a smile of amusement creeping onto his face as he recalled the night in question.
"You mean the night that Pause and Millbee almost got us kicked out of the restaurant for being too drunk, Anderz passed out on the floor, and Chad and Sevadus were recording drunk vlogs? I'm surprised you remembered anything from that night at all," Guude chuckled. "But you just keep proving that you're just an even more thoughtful and considerate guy than I'd thought."
"Oh, stop, Guude. It's nothing. I just want to make this a great night for you," BdoubleO told Guude. Just then, their waitress came back to the table with two glasses of water and some drink menus for them to look at.
"My turn to order," Guude cut off BdoubleO as he opened his mouth to start talking to the waitress. "I'll have a Long Island iced tea, and he'll have some, let's see... A glass of this red wine right here," he told the woman, pointing to a wine on the list. The woman nodded and pulled the menus away, walking back to the kitchen. Guude looked to BdoubleO and teasingly stuck his tongue out at him. "I can't let you do all the work tonight, BDubs."
"Nice choice with the wine, you want me to get all tipsy to take back to your place don't you?" BdoubleO said, then wiggled his eyebrows jokingly, causing both men to laugh.
The waitress soon returned with their drinks, then their food. BdoubleO and Guude thanked her, then proceeded to eat.
"Wow, this is really good!" Guude said, swallowing a bite of his mashed potatoes that came with his steak. "I think I may have found a new favorite restaurant thanks to you, guy"
"Pft, no need to thank me, I'm just glad I can be here with you, enjoying this beautiful view and your company" BdoubleO said, staring into Guude's eyes, causing Guude to blush.
"D'aw, thanks guy! I'm glad to be here with you too." Guude said in response. After they finished their dinners, the waitress came and left them the bill for their meal.
"Holy shit dude! 80 dollars?!" Guude said, almost spitting out his iced tea.
"Well, you did order me 2 glasses of that red wine, which was a bit on the pricy side" BdoubleO said. "But it's totally fine, I'll pay for the meal, ain't no big deal"
"Oh shit, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ordered you such an expensive drink! Here, let me help pay for it!" Guude went to reach for his wallet in his pocket, but was stopped by BdoubleO.
"No, no Guude, it's not your fault! Here, I'll pay for the meal, if you agree to take a walk with me on the beach" BdoubleO said with a smile.
"C'mon guy, I'd go on walk with ya either way, just let me help pay" Guude said outing a bit. BdoubleO sighed.
"You're lucky you're cute, fine, we can split the bill" BdoubleO said, which caused Guude to smile victoriously. BdoubleO wanted to pay for the meal himself, as an act of kindness, but Guude seemed dead-set on doing the same. Plus if this could get Guude to smile, then really there was no objections.
Together they paid for the food and drinks, then as they exited the restaurant, Guude felt BdoubleO's hand in his, pulling him in the opposite direction of his house.
"Where we going now, BDubs?" Guude asked, a bit confused and eager to put the rose he'd been given in water to keep it from wilting.
"Didn't you hear me inside? I said we were going to take a walk on the beach! Now, come on, it's almost time," BdoubleO said, pulling harder on Guude's hand, beginning to drag him along to the beachfront, although Guude wasn't resisting at all now that he knew what BdoubleO had in mind.
In another 5 minutes, they had reached the sand at the edge of the beach, and BdoubleO kicked off his shoes, setting them down underneath a bench along the sidewalk, then surprised Guude by picking him up and carrying him in a bridal carry across the sand, Guude giggling and giving shouts of half-hearted resistance, BdoubleO smiling widely and retorting with silly remarks to Guude's "protests."
When they reached a flat spot in the sand, BdoubleO sat down on the sand, sitting Guude down in his lap to keep his pants from getting sandy.
"You're gonna get your nice pants all dirty, BDubs!" Guude told him, but BdoubleO just shrugged.
"It's fine. They're just pants, and I can wash 'em. And might as well just have one of us get all sandy, right?" he said, grinning at Guude, who rolled his eyes and put his arms around BdoubleO's neck.
"You're such a sweet guy, guy," Guude said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Now, why are we here? It's not much of a walk if we're sitting down."
"Haha, no, not so much a walk, I suppose. But look behind you," BdoubleO said, shifting slightly so Guude didn't have to crane his neck so much to look.
Guude saw what could only be described as a truly beautiful sunset. The sun setting in over the ocean so that there were tons of different pinks, oranges, reds and yellows, all coming together in such a way that created something magnificent.
"Oh, oh wow" Guude said, almost speechless. "I've never seen such a beautiful sunset"
"Yeah, neither have I" BdoubleO said in response, the two looking silently at the glory that was the sun setting, remaining that way till it was almost completely dark, before getting up and beginning the walk back to Guude's home.
"Bdubs, I wanna thank you for such a lovely evenin'" Guude said, turning in front of BdoubleO as they reached Guude's doorstep.
"It was nothing, really, I'm just glad I could spend it with you" BdoubleO said, smiling. The two stood there, staring into one another's eyes again. BdoubleO was about to say goodbye and head home when Guude was suddenly leaning forward, kissing him on the lips.
BdoubleO was taken aback at first, however quickly returned the kiss, kissing him back softly. The kiss lasted for just a moment, but to BdoubleO it felt a lot longer. BdoubleO had been with many people before, both men and women, but somehow this felt all new to him.
"Wow," was all BdoubleO could say, making Guude laugh at his reaction.
"Was it that bad?" he teased BdoubleO, who quickly shook his head vigorously.
"No, no, no! It was... It wasn't like anything else. I just didn't know what to say besides, well, wow," BdoubleO admitted, blushing, but this time it wasn't just him. Guude's cheeks seemed to be flushed as well, and BdoubleO heard a sigh of relief from Guude at his words.
"Well, I'm glad I'm up to par," he chuckled. "I was a bit nervous that.. Ya know, it wouldn't be a very good kiss or something."
"Are ya kidding? It was great!" BdoubleO said, making Guude blush even more. "I wish it wasn't so late. But I'll see you tomorrow morning for sure!"
"Of course you will, you always stop by before you go to work, guy. But seriously, thank you so much for such a great night tonight. It was really amazing, and I can't wait to do it again," Guude said sincerely, his eyes shining a bit in the light from his porch.
"I really enjoyed taking you. And I'd love to do it again. Now, get on off to bed so you don't sleep past your alarm like last time we stayed out late!" BdoubleO teased Guude, pushing him gently towards his front door.
"You mean when you could barely walk and insisted on walking me home, even though you barely ended up being able to walk all the way here and had to sleep on my couch?" Guude asked him, laughing.
"Shut up! I was fine by the time I woke up!" BdoubleO protested.
"I'm joking. Goodnight, Boo," Guude said, turning to open the door.
"Boo?" BdoubleO asked, confused by what Guude meant.
"Oh, did I say that? I'm so sorry, I didn't mean- it just slipped out!" Guude tried to fix what he said, but BdoubleO consoled him quickly.
"No, no, it's fine, Guude, don't worry. I just didn't know you were one for pet names," he said with a grin.
"Ya damn guy, get going before I ask you to stay here tonight!" Guude yelled, blushing and pushing BdoubleO towards the steps, laughing the whole time.
"Third base on the first date? Wow, at least give me some time to consider it," BdoubleO teased, making Guude yell even louder in protest as BdoubleO ran down the steps, laughing and calling out a goodbye as he went.
