OOG OTP Challenge Day 2: Cuddling Somewhere
Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 04:51 pmTime for Day 2! (Whoops that it's slightly one of the options for Day 3, but we can ignore that :P)
And I'm posting today's because I wasn't around yesterday. Also just cause I feel like it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why did I agree to do this? Guude asked himself as he settled back down from yet another scare in the movie he and BDubs were watching. He had agreed to watch the movie just because he knew BDubs wanted to see it, but he also knew he couldn't stand jump scares, or any sort of scares really. He'd gotten freaked out earlier that day by a bunny rabbit hopping in front of him while he was on a walk, and ghosts and monsters and killers were a thousand times worse than a cute rabbit.
Meanwhile, BDubs was so engrossed in the movie that he hadn't even noticed Guude's jumping and occasional gasps in terror.
"Ooh, this is gonna be good..." he said, leaning forward ever so slightly as one of the characters in the movie ran into a dark room, slamming the door behind them. Guude was tempted to look away so he wouldn't jump anymore, but he knew he'd still hear it, which was almost worse. Resigning himself to watch it, he took a deep breath to prepare himself.
As if on cue, a masked man wielding a chainsaw jumped out from the shadows, causing the both the character and Guude to scream like a small child. Guude shut his eyes tight, and his body tensed up from fear. When he eventually opened his eyes he saw the sight of a bloodied corpse on the screen.
Guude had been so frightened that he didn't even notice that he was now hugging BDubs' arm tightly. He was unaware of this until BDubs himself pointed it out.
"Hey, Guude, are you alright?" BDubs asked with a concerned tone, reaching to grab the remote to pause the movie.
"H-hmm? Oh, y-yeah, I'm fine," Guude said, both trying and failing to sound convincing and keep his voice even. BDubs frowned slightly and wrapped his arms around Guude like Guude's were around him.
"Are you sure? You're shaking, Guude. You could've told me you didn't want to watch the movie if you didn't want to," BDubs told him, running his hands up and down Guude's back slowly to relieve the tension.
"I didn't want to let you down, though, guy..." Guude said quietly. "You seemed so excited about this movie, so I didn't want to ruin it for you."
"Oh, Guude, you never have to worry about letting me down" BDubs said, continuing to run circles in Guude's back, which had sufficiently calmed Guude. "If you don't want to do something, then all you have to do is tell me, I'll understand!"
"Y-yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, I guess I was just a little nervous" Guude giggled a bit to himself, now cuddling up even closer to BDubs, loving how comfortable he felt in the other man's arms.
BDubs smiled at Guude, which caused Guude to smile gently in return. The two laid there, in one another's arms, content with being where they were.
"Are you going to keep watching, guy?" Guude asked BDubs after a few minutes of their cuddling in silence. BDubs shook his head before smiling at Guude.
"I'd rather be here with you on the couch than with some popcorn and a scary movie," he said, which made Guude giggle a bit. "How about we call it a night on the movie?" Guude nodded vigorously in reply, before giving BDubs a quick kiss on the cheek.
I suppose it was a good thing to agree on the scary movie, Guude thought to himself, burying himself in his boyfriend's embrace.
