mindcrackloveHello and welcome to the second chapter of Davion Keep, Where Vechs decides If going down that ladder is a good idea, And we meet some new people.
Also I think I made this one longer and better :D

Vechs stood above that ladder, Noticeably shaken, Realizing that it may not be a good idea to go down the hole, as whatever was bleeding, was most likely still down there, His body was telling him to simply walk to the forest to get some more food and leave this situation alone,
Vechs's mind was telling him to explore what was down there and see if anyone was hurt, his sense of curiosity beginning to get the better of him.
It took a while but eventually Vechs's mind won the argument and he started down the ladder, It smelled of flesh, And was surprisingly damp, Even though it hadn't rained in days, He finally hit the floor and began to take in his surroundings, Bookshelves lined the walls, With books and potions scattered about, weirdly, they haven't been touched in a while, with a noticeable amount of dust on the at least 50 year old books,
He also noticed the portal.
In the corner of the large stone room, was a portal, Purple shining from it's core, But it was different from the other nether portals, the ones Vechs knew of, the ones people talked about in folklore, It had runes on the sides, the lost Dragonite language. Vechs saw something on the floor that made him deeply shiver. More so than the screaming or the blood on the floor. Next to the portal, Was a hand, or, part of one, That has been clipped by the portal.
"Holy Shit." Vechs said to himself quietly, "someone went through, Should I?" He began to weigh the options in his head, He knew the person who went through the modified portal wasn't dead, and he felt relief in knowing the person who lost their hand wasn't murdered.
He finally decided to go through the portal, and within seconds, He was gone from the lab.
He came through the portal in a meeting room, with tables and chairs lined up, he saw at least 20 people in front of him. That was all he saw, however, Before he passed out.
He awoke in a bed now, stronger, and he realized it was now night-time.
He heard chatter outside his room, and looked around.
The chatter outside turned to silence as soon as the people "caring" for him knew he was stirring.
A man slightly shorter than Vechs came walking through the door, along with three or four others. They sat down nearby him and sat in silence for a moment, until one of the men, who had a curious letter G on his shirt, Began speaking.
"What, The, Absolute, Hell." The man said. "How did you go through the portal!" "How did you even KNOW about the portal!" The man quickly spat out.
"I...I..I heard screaming, someone was out there, screaming in a very strained voice, like they were hurt, I continued walking and took mental note of it, after walking for a few minutes I found this hole in the ground and noticed blood, I thought someone needed help down there, So I weighed my options and went down the ladder, Noticing the portal, bookshelves, and part of a hand, I went through the portal because I was curious." Vechs said to the man, speaking very quickly."
"That explains it pretty well, I guess, I think I can put some trust in you for now. Anyway, what is your name, son."
"Vechs... Vechs Davion." He replied quietly.
The look of awe on the man's face was like something Vechs had never seen before.
