*WARNING!* This story was written terribly accidentally on purpose.
Vechs, Paul, and Aureylian ran after the creature speeding in the circular pod as it sped in between streets and alleyways.
“Where’s he going… in such… a hurry?” Aureylian shouted, trying to catch her breath.
“I don’t know, but we should probably find out!” Paul said, a ways ahead of Vechs and Aureylian and completely fine.
“How… is he not out of breath… and we are!?” Auryelian asked Vechs, who simply shrugged.
“Guys!” Paul called out. “He’s flying inside one of the buildings. Hurry up and we might be able to catch him!” Paul shouted. He proceeded to run even faster past the corner and out of sight.
“How…” Aureylian panted as Vechs sped up to catch up with Paul. “Hey, wait up!”
Vechs giggled. “I have longer legs!!’ He said in a sing-song voice. Aureylian cursed under her breath and continued running.
Paul and Vechs arrived just in time to see the floor opening underneath Bubble Boy's flying hamster ball. The alien thing sank down into the tunnel below, the doors slowly closing behind him.
"We've got to get down there!" Paul shouted, jumping off the ledge.
Vechs prepared to jump off as well, until, Aureylian caught up with him.
"Vechs!" She shouted from a few feet away. "Are you crazy?!"
Vechs shrugged. "Yea, probably." He said casually as he jumped down into the pit.
Aureylian sighed and shook her head, but she too jumped down into the underground tunnel, hoping that the group was done with running.

The group walked down through the rather dark and wide tunnel. Soon, the tunnel ended at a control room of sorts.
The entire wall was covered in monitors, showing different views of the city, and even some of the mindcrack community. Modern looking computer equipment was scattered around several silver desks that lined two of the room's four walls. An enormous cylindrical machine covered in wires took up a wall.
Bubble boy was standing in the machine.
The machine began glowing, its light filling up the entire room. When it faded, bubble boy was gone.
"Where'd he go?" Paul said, examining the machine.
Vechs looked at it. "Wait..." He said. "This looks like... My design for a teleportation device."
"Aureylian's eyebrows shot up. "Your what?"
Vechs shook his head. "I've been working on a machine capable on instant transportation. So far, though..." Vechs shrugged. "It's only been able to teleport nonliving materials." Vechs shuddered. "Learned that the hard way."
Aureylian wasn't sure, but she could have sworn she heard Vechs mumble something about bunnies under his breath. She decided not to ask.
Suddenly, the teleported shown again. "Paul!" Vechs shouted. "What did you do!?"
"I didn't do anything! It did this on his own!"
The teleportation device stopped glowing, and out stepped Nebris.
The trio watched as he walked across the room to the computer equipment and pressed a button on the keyboard.
"Uh... Nebris?" Vechs was the first to ask after a few seconds of silence.
"Well, Vechs," Nebris spun around slowly in a swivel chair, petting the air. "I'm so glad you asked!"
"Um... what are you petting?"
Nebris rolled his eyes. "MAD Cat, of course!"
"There isn't a cat there."
"It's time for you to hear," Neris paused for dramatic effect. "My EVIL PAN!"
"You mean plan."
"PLAN!!! Hue hue hue hue hue!"
"You're supposed to laugh, Nebris. Not just say hue a bunch of times."
"Two years ago..."
"Well, I guess we're just moving on."
"EthoCorp was founded! My rival, Etho, being the founder."
Aureyiann spoke up. "Yea, we know. Get to the point."
"Oh, ok. Anyways, Etho has been a thorn in my side for far too long! Now it is time to replace EthoCorp with..." Nebris gestured at nothing. "NebrisCorp! It's brilliant! MWAHAHAHAHAH.com"
Paul spoke. "And how exactly do you plan on doing that?"
"By idiotically getting myself injured by one of his products and suing him for far more money than is remotely reasonable!"
"Wow, that is evil. So, where does all of this stuff fit in?"
"This is NebrisCorp HQ! Thanks to the things here, my plan shall be fulfilled! MWAHAH..."
"Wait." Aureylian interrupted. Nebris glared at her. "Isn't all of this stuff from EthoCorp?"
"Most of it, yes."
"So your plan is bankrupting EthoCorp by... buying millions of dollars worth of products from EthoCorp?"
Nebris stood still.
"Just saying."
After a few moments of silence, Nebris spoke. "I now see a flaw in my otherwise perfect plan."
Silence stood in the room.
"No matter! I shall prevail! Thanks to the power I've been draining from the beacons, I can..." He fell to the ground.
Paul and Aureylian turned to Vechs. 'What did you do?"
Vechs shrugged. "I threw a rock at him."

And so, the trio discovered that there really was no power crisis at all, just Nebris being a jerk. The aliens went back home after giving the Mindcrackers a large supply of spare energy, because that was going to be a thing at one point.
Bubble Boy went to space due to teleport malfunction.
Nebris got thrown into the EthoCorp prison, with the EthoCorp bars and the EthoCorp floor and the EthoCorp 100% totally real air.
Vechs actually made a Mindcrack episode where things were done.
Paul vanished for a bit.
Everyone went to space because it was fun.
Those random numbers aren't actually that random at all. It's a cipher.
And the author finally got to finish this story so he could work on other things.
The End.
