Prompt Swap - Hostage Negotiation - For giggleworthy

Anyway, this was my prompt from giggleworthy: A person of your otp (or just your favorite person, if you dont ship) is a hostage. The other of your otp (Just take this part out if you dont ship) is called in to negotiate.
I'm sorry there wasn't much of the actual negotiation but I sort of ran out of inspiration. I'll probably write a part 2 though if you like it :) I wanted to do this as quickly as possible and it was REALLY fun.
This takes place in minecraft in a team UHC type game.
The game had started of simple enough. In many ways, it was familiar territory to the mindcrackers. It was supposed to be similar to other UHCs - you were put into teams and you killed the other plays until one group was victorious. It was a concept that had seemingly had little flaws.
Nobody had expected it to go wrong.
At the very beginning, the teams of four had been randomly generated. Nebris had been placed with Pause, Beef and Etho. That hadn’t made him too happy. It wasn’t that he disliked any of them (Beef and Pause were both really funny and cool and Etho… Well, even if he ACTED like he hated him that wasn’t strictly the case), it was just that they were all really close and were already kind of a group. Nebris didn’t feel liking being the fourth wheel and he didn’t want to mess with the Team Canada dynamic.
So, when the game started, he had immediately gone off on his own without trying to find his team mates. They would probably just assume that not finding him was an unlucky coincidence. Even if they didn’t, they would probably just think that it was Nebris’ fierce rivalry with Etho that kept them separated.
Besides Nebris worked better alone. He would be find by himself. He would just pretend that he wasn’t lonely…
While searching for gold by himself, he started to see messages popping up on the screen.
Pyropuncher was shot by Sethbling
OMGChad hit the ground too hard
Aureylian blew up
Nebris smiled at the last one. He wondered how Aurey had managed that.
Nebris continued to mine and cave by himself and soon had some pretty good resources. He hadn’t lost any health but at the same time his lack of team mates still left him vulnerable if anybody was lucky enough to find him. He found himself thinking of Etho then. He had been worried about him, but the fact that hid name had not shown up in any of the messages had to be a good sign.
Mhykol was slain by VintageBeef
Nebris’s heart thudded as he saw the name of his team member, but he quickly calmed himself when he realized Beef was still alive. The death messages were relentless.
SethBling was shot by PauseUnpause
W92Baj tried to swim in lava while trying to escape Etho.
He had a sudden urge to clap, greatly impressed by the combat skills of his friends. They had almost wiped out an entire team. Only Guude was left. This made Nebris feel a little uneasy. Etho might still be in trouble if there was one member left out there hiding. He tried to dismiss this. Etho was fine. Nebris was doubted he would ever need his help.
The game progressed, the number of players decreasing gradually. Nebris finally made it to the surface. Most of the teams only had a couple of players left anyway and he had decided it would be safe for him to go out hunting. While sneaking through the forest, he came across two players. His hand jumped to his sword hilt, but the pair was quicker. An arrow whizzed past his head. Nebris ducked, expecting another one to hit, but it never came.
“Nebris?” Pause asked, almost angrily.
Nebris’ gaze met with his and he smiled.
“Hey” he said, relieved that he had not been killed but a little disappointed that he had not yet had a fight.
That was what he got for hiding in caves.
“Where have you been?” Beef asked.
Nebris shrugged. He tried to think of a reply but he was distracted. Pause and Beef were here but where was Etho? He was certain Team Canada had been together by this point. Instinctively, he looked behind him, paranoia making him dizzy. He was so use to Etho trying to kill him that he was partly expecting him to sneak up from behind and stab him.
“Where is Etho?” he asked.
Beef and Pause exchanged looks, both anxious.
“Guude has him” Pause announced slowly.
Nebris blinked once. Twice. Not really understanding what they were saying. The sense of dread from earlier returned. He had thought this was going to be a normal game, but taking a hostage was something that hadn’t been done before.
“What do you mean Guude has him?” he demanded.
Beef sat down, like he was tired. They were both probably very worried about their captured friend.
“After we killed his team, Guude ran off and we thought we had seen the last of him. But then Etho disappeared and Guude left a ransom note, saying he would only negotiate with you as you were the only one who did not kill one of his friends” Pause broke off for a second, looking upset “He said if we tried to come after him without negotiation, he would kill Etho. We’ve been looking for you ever since”
A stab of guilt went through him. Staying away from his team had turned out to be a really dangerous idea. Leaving Etho behind wasn’t an option to any of them. He meant something important to all of them. Nebris wasn’t quite sure what the connection was between him and Etho, but he knew it was a strong one.
“Well?” he asked, trying to keep his voice even “What are we waiting for?”
Hurriedly, he started grabbing all their stuff.
“We’ve got to go and save Etho”.
