I originally posted this over on reddit, but someone recommended I post it here. So here it is, hope you enjoy:

Hope this is the right place to post this... Anyway, I made a short little fan fiction. Based on this episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qooJg8BnUT4&list=UUM2FHDmMP92caH9aK7RwEdw I hope you enjoy it! Keep in mind I'm a bit rusty, so it might not be super good.

Note: It's strongly recommended you watch the above first. You don't have to, but you probably won't understand as well if you don't.

Here goes:

Aureylian placed another torch on the cave floor. Where was all the quartz?! Vechs NEEDED it! Every second was precious. If she didn’t hurry, Vechs might not make it. She rounded another corner, and faced a dead end. She turned around, discouraged. What was that?! she took a step back and put her back against the cave’s end. “Yelp!” She screamed as light flooded the cave. In front of her flew a small baby bat. She took a step forward. “Whew, you scared me little guy!” Suddenly the light vanished. “Huh, must’ve bumped into a bit of redstone or something…” She placed a torch on the ground to inspect, and looked up to see a perfectly ordinary stone wall. “Okay, who’s up to shenanigans!” She pulled out her pickaxe and pulled back her arms to start swinging, when a distant groan stopped her. Veches! She’d almost forgotten! She raced back to the main cavern where Vechs was. As she arrived she quick looked at the barricades setup at the other branches, to make sure nothing had gotten through. Thankfully they were all in good repair. Then she ran to Vechs side, as he lay on his makeshift bed. “I couldn’t find any quartz in that cave.” She said, panting. “Wait… you… were looking…. in that cave?” Vechs chuckled. Even on his deathbed, trolling Aureylian made him smile. “Aw…. sweetie…” He teased, “Nether quartz… is in... the Nether…” “B-b-b-but I thought….”Aureylian trailed off. “Okay, well don’t you worry! I’ll make a portal and get some quartz in a jiffy!” She yelled as she ran off. “Wait… I have… obsidian... in my inventory…” He called, as he tossed a pile on the ground. But his voice was too weak, and before he finished she had gon

Oh why had she decided to boycott diamonds! Aureylian thought to herself, as she ran down the cave. Wait… Wasn’t there some strange way to make a portal using lava and water? Maybe if she tried really hard she could repeat it.... “But I haven’t seen any lava, in any of these caves since we arrived” She mumble to herself. What about that mysterious glow? She thought. Maybe somehow lava had peeked through a hole in the wall, or something when she had bumped it? At any rate, it was worth a shot. As she rounded the corner and arrived at the dead end, she took a deep breath. Then she took out her pickaxe, and began to swing. Just as her pickaxe hit the wall, the glow returned. But what stood in front of her wasn’t lava. It wasn’t even stone. It was quartz...

Heya! Glad you posted a fic.

But all fics, no matter the length, need to be put under a cut. If using html, you can put it under a cut by doing < cut> at the start of the fic (without the space after the < )

Then do < /cut> at the end of the fic (again, without the space)

Thank you!
