Gravity Hurts- Chapter 4

Alright, I kept you guys waiting too long. I promise I was writing this chapter on Friday night... And then proceeded to fall asleep. Saturday was packed into the night, so here we are on Sunday. Anyway, short chapter this time, but a major plot step. Enjoy!



Gravity hurts, Guude thought, who was it that followed that philosophy?

"Gravity will hurt through armor, there is no protection from falling except for Feather Falling... Falling is the best way to kill someone, and is nearly inescapable compared to a lava trap..."

"Vechs"

clang!

And there was no floor beneath them. All Guude could see was the blackness below, alternating with the light from above as he spun in the air. Pak was right next to him, completely silent.

Pak yelled over the rushing air, "Who did you say?"

"Vechs, our resident derpy demon! He's the one that once told me that 'gravity hurts.'"

"Vechs!" Pak's voice rose in pitch.

And all conversation ceased as the pair continued to plummet, hurtling downwards at a rate continuing to approach terminal velocity. That was the last thing Guude remembered before he blacked out...

A splitting headache. That was the first thing Pak could feel. Slowly waking up, he could sense some other presence in the room, and he assumed it was Guude.

"Uuugh..." Pak let out a semi-voluntary groan as he leaned up to take stock of his area

"You sound lovely, Pak."

"Gee, thanks. I just had the best night's sleep ever, can't you tell?" replied Pak before letting out a semi-laugh.

"Great to hear. Now, for the million dollar question..."

"Where are we?"
