I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam

They swayed and danced, it was like they were dancing on clouds… He bolted up a cold sweat gathering on his forehead. A shiver ran down his spine as he stared at the mirror across from his bed, his purple eyes glowing slightly in the dark, his gaze wandered around the dark room as the last visions of his dream fleeted from his grasp, the masked face slipping from his mind.

They walked hand in hand through the forest that was washed in blues from the night sky until they came to a lake with a old bridge with metal railings that swirled in many patterns. The man lead him onto the bridge stopping half way across. The man took his other hand pulling him into a hug then leaning into a deep kiss. “Nebris… I love…” the other man began. “don't Etho” Nebris shushed holding a finger lightly against Etho's mouth “Please… let this last…”

Countless sleepless nights…dreamless nights; nights without him roaming his mind, his warm touch, his soft kiss and his endless wise eyes. Nebris seemed dead to the world with a thousand mile stare, countless times, the other mindcrackers had tried to talk, yet he was so unresponsive that they all left, leaving him holed up in his room in the never ending darkness and sadness. He was gone...

His gaze locked with Etho's, tears welled up in his eyes, a slight whimpering escaping with his breath. Nebris struggled under Etho's grasp, but to no avail, to lead there frozen as he watched Etho pull out a silver dagger raising it up… up...up above his head, his eyes were glazed over.

And the knife came down…

The wind whistled as it ran through his hair, he stood staring at the view around him, oranges and reds filled the sky with the setting sun painting the valley below with lush ambers and golds. Nebris turned to see him standing there, his white hair blowing in the wind, a mask was pulled up above his nose only leaving his eyes, his eyes shone, one grey; one blood red. His arms opened as Nebris ran towards him pulling him into a hug… and then into a kiss.

The knife twisted with Nebris' last dying breath, a crimson blood soaking his clothes, the same colour as his killer's bright blood red left eye. The killer's lips pressed softly against Nebris' forehead. “Goodnight, sweet prince” He whispered as he too, left...
