uh....hi... I haven't posted a thing in forever and a half. But you know. I'm here now to entertain a select few who actually kind of want to read my stuff....Anyways. I'm gonna try and summarize this. Okie? Here we go.
A simple mistake was all it took. Flirting with the wrong guy and now she was here. In Hell. Making a deal. A deal with the King of the Underworld.
A blade pushed through her back. She looked around, as the world faded away. The light from the sun died away as she hit her knees. The dust flew into the air as her blood leaked down her chest. His face was the last thing she saw while alive. It was Zisteau. One of her closest friends. A smile was dug into his face. The last thing she heard on the mortal plane, "That'll teach you for touching Vechs. He's mine."
She sank. Sank through the earth, piercing into the depths of Hell. She could see it all, but none of it registered. It wasn't till she landed with a thud that she realised what was happening. She could do nothing but scream. But her scream was silent, instead, just sounding of air.
Her arms were yanked up, dragging her to her feet by some outside force. A thundering voice sailed out, "Who now enters the chamber of SethBling?!" It came from the large man sitting on the throne at the end of the room.
"I'm....I'm Aureylian...." She said weakly, taking in the room. The room looked more like a cave than an actual room. There were four stands in the room, each holding an artifact. The man who appeared to be in charge started a hardy laugh.
"Admiring my trophies? I worked hard for them! That sword is the mighty sword of the great warrior PauseUnpause! The Helmet is from the foreign hero Anderzel! That shield belonged to the unbreakable wall, Etho! That cloak was why the devious BTC was so easily lost!" He spoke proudly of his collection.
"Where am I? Why am I here? Why are you here?" Aureylian spoke back to the matter at hand. Unfortunately SethBling was lost in his memories.
"When PauseUnpause fell to the great dragon, Télos, that sword was the only thing left. When Anderzel fought to conquer the Kakó hordes, he fell, and that helmet was his barter to join with the gods of his foreign land. When Etho stood at Toícho, the Katedáfisi army surrounded him. A shield only protects from one direction. And BTC's cloak. Not as heroic a tale. He was simply caught trying to take from the great treasures of King Ploútou and was beheaded. It's this room because he tried to use it to escape. But no one escapes. Not on their own. Not without a deal." He trailed on.
She grew frustrated. "Would you kindly tell me what is going on!? Who are you? And where am I?!" She yelled at the imposing figure.
"Oh. I'm sorry my dear. But this is Hell. I am it's owner, the god of Hell. Isn't it obvious? You died." He said in the most caring and comforting tone she'd ever heard. "Shame. Before your time. You were going to do great things. Great things indeed. But alas. Your life was cut short due to a bad choice." He stood and stepped forward.
She backed away, fear spread across her face, tears streamlining down. "This can't be right! I can't be dead! I'm only 19! I had a whole life ahead of me!" She yelled as she sank to the floor. The pitter patter of tears echoed through the room. SethBling pulled her up.
"Don't worry. I can tell you're feeling vengeful. So...maybe we....strike a deal." His words came out like sweet, succulent honey. She felt compelled to listen and lust for his deal.
"Go on...." her words were weak, but were definite.
"I need things my dear. Things not easy to obtain. Godly items." His words stretched long and enticed her. He knew she was completely under his spell. She couldn't fight it. Hell, she was close to babbling like an idiot. "I'll take your silence as agreement. I ask you to retrieve for me a flower that has yet to grace this Earth from Baj, the god of the Earth, a bottle of wine made by BdoubleO, god of the vine and wine, a bounty of fish caught by VintageBeef himself, the lord of the sea, and a sentient cloud from the Cloud Keeper and god of the sky, Nebris. In return, I give your freedom, and since I'm feeling generous, one soul's freedom. Any soul you choose. You're free to pick now if you so choose." Trickery flowed through his words but she was under his spell. It was as if his words were a poison on her mind, clogging her judgment.
"I....uh.....yes sir...." She stumbled through her answer, using what little conscious thought she had to speak.
"Excellent my dear, I'm ecstatic about this deal!" He squealed with glee in an unsettling manner. He lead her to two halls, one lead to the pits below, the other leads out to the surface. "You're free to make your own choices now. Just remember. I'll be watching." The words sent a shiver down her spine. After a long series of thought and recovery, she decided to wait to pick her saved soul. Instead, she marched to the surface, determined to free herself.
The Earth shook as she stepped out of the underworld, throwing her forward. She yelled in surprise as she soared through the air. She smacked into something, or well, someone, knocking them down and landing in the water.
They sat up simultaneously, each soaking wet. She couldn't help but notice his features. He was thin, with messy dark brown hair. He had a handsome face that she noticed when he stood. He reached down and offered her a hand, to which she promptly accepted. His grasp was gentle but strong.
"I...uh...thank....sorry..." she got lost in his deep brown eyes. She started thinking to herself "Speak dammit! Why do you keep babbling like an idiot today!?" He seemed rather annoyed. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what happened! But....thanks for pulling me from the water...." she stumbled her words a tiny bit.
"It's fine, I'm fine." She mentally sighed. His voice gave it away. He was so damn cute too. He was Celtic. "Look, I'm not from around here. But you seem like you know your way. Can you take me to Fýsi? I was told I needed to speak to some guy there. Someone named Baj?" He was obviously trying not to sound frustrated and was easily failing.
"Sure! I was heading there myself." She spoke enthusiastically, for she had found herself a companion to travel with. And they walked and talked. But only one thing ran through her mind, "He's not so bad to travel with. Maybe I'll ask him to join me."
