I died for a little bit... but I'm back now (well, kinda) School has kept me extremely busy, and tired -.- I managed to write this, but my creativity is being slowly drained from my soul o.o My friend gave me this idea, so I elaborated upon it and turned it into a nearly 1500 worded thing.

And oh, implied nsfw. I can't write actual nsfw so yeah.
Enjoy :P

Nebris leaned back in his chair and shook out the cramps in his hand. He had just completed the story he had been working on since this morning. It wasn’t anything incredibly long, just enough material to test something Nebris had been curious about since the Crackpack server was updated. New mods were added to the game, one of which he believed had a lot of potential. He wasn’t exactly sure if his experiment would work, but if it did, boy would he have a bucket load of fun.

Nebris admired his work, small words carefully lined each page of the book. The torch sitting at the edge of the table flickered as a gentle breeze drifted in from the window. The draft traveled across the room, causing the pages to flutter and then settle again. He opened his desk drawer and put away the pen and loose pieces of paper. Before he began, he spun a full 360 in his chair, surveying the area for any signs of players. He wanted to keep his experiments a secret, and it appeared no one else was around.

Nebris stood up to stretch. It was quite late at night, and silver moonlight poured onto the floor. Everything around him was still and silent, something he wasn't exactly used to. He shut the window and yawned as he drew the curtains. After locking the door and snuffing out the torch on his desk, he grabbed the book. The leather binding was smooth. He set the book down on the ground with the cover facing up. Nebris hesitated, this probably wasn’t a good idea… but it was for science. He pulled a small blade out of his back pocket and held it to his hand, carefully dragging it across the width of his palm. He hissed as warm blood trickled past his wrist and down his arm. He smeared the blood over his palm and along his fingers and placed his hand on the book’s cover. Everything went black.

Upon opening his eyes, Nebris was greeted by an indigo sky. Bright stars glistened behind thin clouds and a full moon loomed over his head. Wind caused the tall grass and flowers to move in waves. It was like he was standing in an ocean of green, just how he had written it. The plains expanded for as far as he could see, occasional oak trees dotted the landscape, also like how he had written it. Everything was exactly how he pictured it to be. It worked, he didn’t think it would, but it did. He roamed the plains in awe for hours so he could explore all the small details of the world he had created. When he felt it was time to leave, he returned to spawn. Nebris closed his eyes and raised his arm above his head as if he were pushing open a trapdoor. He waited for a few minutes before opening his eyes again and when he opened them, he was laying on the floor of his secret base. He smiled to himself, a new discovery and its many possibilities flooded his mind.

Each day after that consisted of the same routine. Nebris would wake up and sneak over to his base where he would write a new story. After he felt satisfied with the story, he would lock up his base and then dive into his fantasy. The more Nebris wrote, the more his writing skills improved. His stories grew more and more detailed, including many different adventures and locations. Other people made appearances in his stories. Some… more than others… He could write whatever he felt, and everything felt real. The books he wrote became reality, no, better than reality. The real world was harsh and uninteresting, but each story he wrote was like its own paradise. Life was easier there. He didn’t have to live in reality when a perfect reality of his own was just waiting to be written. That’s what kept him coming back, that’s what caused him to skip the Mindcrack meetings. Every time he told himself, just one more story. One more story, and then he would stop. It never worked. A fake world was much more pleasurable than the one he grew up in.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nebris opened his eyes again, his face felt hot. He sat up and smoothed back his messed up hair. His knees were shaking and no matter how hard he tried, he could not stop grinning. He pulled his shirt collar up to cover his neck and rubbed at the scars on his hands. His right hand was basically useless for cutting, he would just end up re-opening old scars. However, his left hand was still good for a few more sessions. After that... He wasn't exactly sure what he would do. He tossed the book under the loose floorboard where it joined his previous writings. He never could bring himself to destroying them, so he hid them instead. Sometimes he liked to revisit old worlds. Rain pattered against the roof and the wind whistled. The torch on his desk sputtered and was blown out as the curtains flowed in and out. Nebris frowned, why was the window open? He always shut it before he left this world. He silently stood up and walked out the door. The door clicked behind him; he began the walk home. Gravel crunched beneath his feet as suspicions bubbled inside him. Someone was there while he was gone, and he didn’t plan on letting them get away with it.
The next day took forever to arrive, the anticipation of what (or whom) he might discover kept him awake almost the entire night. Although he was tired, he was prepared. Nebris crouched under his desk and watched the window with squinted eyes. After a few minutes of waiting, his knees started aching. It was very warm in the room, and being tightly confined under his writing desk wasn't exactly helping. Maybe if he closed his eyes and took a quick rest... He was about to drift off to sleep when he heard the window slide open. A pair of feet made contact with the creaky floor, making hardly a sound. The silent nature of the person's footsteps made it easy for Nebris to guess who it was. The feet approached his desk and stopped, he could hear pages turning and the brushing of fabric as the person reached into their pocket. Everything was progressing as planned. Nebris quickly reached out and grabbed at the intruder's thin ankles and roughly pulled them forward, causing the person to hit the ground with a loud thud.
"Ow! No warning first?" the ninja groaned.
"What are you doing here?"
"Just came to check on you, is all. People were getting a little worried, you haven't exactly been around much," Etho shrugged. Nebris glared at him suspiciously. A small object glinted from the corner of his vision, a knife stained crimson. He didn't have to ask Etho what it was for.
"Why're you really here?"
"You know Nebris, I never took you as a writing kind of guy..." Etho said, avoiding his question. Nebris ignored Etho's remark.
"Show me your hands," Nebris commanded.
Etho sighed before offering his hand to Nebris. Fresh blood gathered in his left palm and then fell to the floor. So he wasn't the only who had been visiting other worlds. Nebris shook his head and stood up, readjusting his shirt collar and dusting off his pants.
"How'd you know what to do?"
"I saw you do it, I followed you here with an invisibility potion. After you disappeared, I copied what you did. I'd say the cutting has been worth exploring you're little stories. Although, I couldn’t control my actions. Since you were the author, I was more of a spectator in my own body. Like a puppet being controlled by strings."
"How many other stories did you manage to sneak into?" Nebris grumbled.
"I dunno... A few. How'd you catch me?!"
"Left the window open, a lazy mistake," Nebris smirked. Etho gave him a weird look, causing Nebris to raise an eyebrow.
"What?"
"I didn't bite too hard, did I?" Etho teased as he scanned Nebris's neck, causing him to blush. "Well, I guess you wrote it that way, so I don't feel too bad about it."
Etho continued, "The writing was a little bland, though..."
"Oh really? Wasn't pleasurable enough for you?" Nebris raised an eyebrow.
Etho got up and sat in the window sill, he looked back at Nebris and waved before leaving. "Maybe. Don't worry though, I'll come early tomorrow and help you write something a little more exciting."
Nebris called out to him as he walked back in the direction of spawn, “Can’t wait.” He said it half sarcastically, but he knew that he really meant it.
There ya go, hope you liked. If anyone wants to continue this feel free, you don't have to ask :]
I loved the description of the different story worlds, you put soooo much detail into them. And then the last one... Well, it sounded like that world was gonna be real, so good for him? XD
