Sem Equites--Chapter Five

So, this is going to become a multi-season fic. Not sure if that's a good thing. But, let me know if at any point you want your character out if the story. Getting your character out is an okay thing as far as i'm concerned.
Also, had to cut a bit of content from this to release it so soon. Seven is still holding up the next chapter, but I got something out for you. So, enjoy.
"Shawn." he heard. He sat bolt upright. He must've fallen asleep in the Morgue. "Shawn." he heard again. That's when he saw her. She had blond hair pulled up in a ponytail, brown eyes, denim shorts, a blue t-shirt, a pair of black flip-flops, and a gold chain with a ruby heart-shaped pendant on it. She looked to be around fourteen years old. No. It couldn't be...
"Mit Salat!" He exclaimed, forgetting temporarily how to speak English, and instead speaking his native language of German. "E-Eclipse? How-?"
"Shhhh." She said. "It's okay. You don't have to mourn me anymore."
His face soured. "Eclipse, you died. You are dead."
She smiled gently. "So did you, and you're still here." Her face turned quite serious. More serious than she had ever been in life. "You've been beating yourself up about it since it happened. It isn't healthy for you. You need to stop. You need to let me go."
He stood up, anger apparent on his face. "How can I let you go?!" He screamed. "You were like a sister to me! A sister that was killed by one of my best friends!" The table behind him--the one upon which Eclipse's body lay--started to shake. Several other tables joined in. "How am I supposed to let that go, Eclipse?! I promised myself I would protect you! That I would keep you safe!" He slumped back into the chair he was sitting in. The room stopped shaking. "I told myself that I would be the family that you never had. Your mother, your father. They died. I promised myself that I would take care of you. No child so young should lose their parents."
When he looked up at where Lips had been standing, he saw only air.
And a few tables that had flipped when he did.
"I promised." He said once more before he began to cry. Not just cry, but sob violently.

Ratta looked down at his watch, then back up at the others he was talking to. "They should've been here by now." He said in his Irish accent. Ratsy was about six foot four, with a skinny but muscular build. He had dark hair that covered eyes almost.
"Ratt, they'll be here when they get here." said Salt. She had a black ponytail with purple highlights, black eyes, a pink jacket over a black shirt, navy jeans and sparkly boots. Oh, and a pink diamond tattoo on her left lower arm. "With plans like this, it's almost never going to go how it's planned."
Aj, the other member of the trio looked up from the stick she was fidgeting with. She had a fairly average build, 6'6, pale skin, Purple eyes, Knee length blond hair in a ponytail, a purple t-shirt, ripped blue jeans, fuchsia colored sneakers, an unbuttoned black vest with 'AJ' stitched on the back in white, fuchsia fingerless gloves, and a blue headset. She nodded, agreeing with Salt. She never really seemed to talk.
"Ratt, they'll get here when they get here." Ratt mocked. "I get that. But, we sent Elektron back over six hours ago. It shouldn't take more than an hour to get there, so that leaves them four hours to get the troops we need." He looked over at the forest they were several meters away from. "And we need Seven if we're gonna try to talk to this guy."
Aj scowled. "If we need him" she started in a quiet voice, barely audible over the sounds of nature surrounding them. "Why didn't we bring him with us? And why him? He's nothing but a good-for-nothing, energy-sucking, friend-killing robot."
Salt looked at Aj. "We need Seven because he's nearly indestructible. This guy we want to talk to is almost unstoppable."
Ratt nodded sagely. "Those fire attacks were pretty powerful." He said, rubbing his shoulder.
"The electric ones hurt too." Aj agreed. "I guess you're right. And since that garbage heap always needs convincing of something, Salt is right. It'll take time."
"But, it's worth it." started Salt. "He can absorb energy attacks. These are energy attacks, so if he can draw the fire, we might have a chance."
Ratt sighed. "I just wish they would hurry up. This place gives me the creeps."

Etho had wandered back to the food court. After learning how Eclipse had died... well, now he needed some comfort food. He looked around for a little while before deciding to get some ice cream.
When he got back to the table he'd been sitting at before, he saw the man from the machine in the center sitting there. He had a fairly large mound of hot pockets, and was playing a guitar. The man looked up. "Hello, there."
Etho waved. "Hi." And sat down. "I'm Eth-er, Ersatz."
The man extended a hand. "Clash." He lowered his voice. "I'm part of the Equites, so I know who you are." He returned his voice to normal, going back to strumming at his guitar. "I heard you mention to Moosh that you heard about Eclipse."
Etho nodded. "Yeah. What about it?"
"Look," Clash started. "What happened was an accident. A fluke. In a lifetime years traveling with him, he's never done anything like that. Every time he needed power, he'd find a natural source or drain it from me. He has NEVER killed someone without reason, especially not like that."
"Hey," Etho replied. "I'm not taking sides in this, alright? All I know is that Seven killed Eclipse. Frankly, if it weren't for the fact that your leader--who is quite probably depressed at the moment--needed me, I would still be at home, not knowing she died. I have no need to take sides. Alright, Clash?"
Clash played a chord on his guitar, and axe blades popped out of the sides. "Fine. But if I hear you so much as glared at Seven, Shawn will have to find someone else to help him track down your friends. We clear?"
"Crystal." Etho growled.
Someone ran up to the table, and whispered in Clash's ear. He looked shocked, and took off with the person. Etho shook his head. Someone was threatening him now. He had never had someone outside Mindcrack do that, and even then it wasn't serious.
"These next few days are going to be just, great." Etho mumbled to himself.
Happy? You should know that by harassing me, ya have to wait longer to read some fascinating dialogue. Go read something else now :P
