In the Games
Monday, September 1st, 2014 01:05 amI don't know how good this is, but the idea demanded to be written.
Enyoy!
I was in town, hanging out with Nebris and helping him get some villagers from Doc’s place, when everything got quiet.
Silence is never a good sign. Silence is the harbinger of doom, the calm before the storm.
There- on the other side of the knoll. The tell tale blue cap of justice. I flipped my sword out, in case I was their target. I turned toward Nebris. He had the armor of justice on with the matching sword ready.
I run a couple of yards toward the direct the mystery attacker came from, forcing him to turn back. Nebs smiled, “You ready for a rematch?
He covered the last couple of feet quickly. I saw the effects of speed and regen. How did he have a regen potion but not strength? The thought left as quickly as it came.
I parried his attacks easily, managed to drink a couple of the necessary potions. The mystery attacker was GenerikB. He put up a good fight, landed a few good hits, but fell soon enough with an arrow to the hip.
Nebris had backed me up to BlingTower. I backed into the lobby, and seeing my chance, ran up the stairs. JSano had built a deck onto his and Adlingont’s floor. That was my chance to get away and get the drop on Nebris.
I leapt, landed, and ran. The fall cost me a bit more than I hoped. I ducked behind a tree, swallowed a quick healing potion and looped back around to the Tower. I could see Nebris working his way through each of the occupant’s rooms.
He was stalking though Orange Wool’s given room, stepping carefully over their typical random placement. He turned around, only to see my face, grinning. “Looking for me?”
I got three critical hits before he responded. But he was bleeding profusely. He slipped on a growing pool of blood and went down, hitting his head on a melon before finally laying still. His body disappeared in the consummation of death.
I picked up what I could of his things and limped to Town Square. Nebris was contact juggling a diamond around his fingers, waiting me to show up. He finished, I gave him his stuff, he gave me my diamond. Now to find where that Hermit went…
