UHC: Season 18 Intro (Joke)

Hola! This is just a really short fic that was inspired by some comment on one of the UHC 17 Youtube videos (don’t remember which.) Also spoiler warning. Just sayin’ (in case you don’t know what happened in Season 17)

“Welcome back, everyone, to UHC Season 18!” Guude’s voice rang out among the circle of Mindcrackers. He paused as they applauded, some whistling and shouting out of excitement. He spoke up again once they had all settled down.

“Just as a reminder to everyone, there is no health regeneration, except for golden apples. And finally, banned this season are Regeneration potions, Strength 2 potions, Notch apples, and Nebris.” At his last sentence, some of the Mindcrackers chuckled. Some gave way to a small smile, or nudged the one beside them.

Etho just stared at them all, confused.

“Wait, what happened to Nebris?” His comment was drowned out in the noise around him.

“Hey, why isn’t Nebris here?” They quieted to look at Etho, the smiles returning to their faces as Guude spoke again.

“Oh that’s right. Etho, you weren’t here last season, so you don’t know. I’ll tell you after the match is over.” He said, his reply earning even more snickers and whispering. His face showed even more confusion as everyone said good luck to one another.

They were all teleported into the wilderness, and Etho found himself in the middle of a forest, birch trees as far as the eye could see. He sighed as the chat began filling with achievements, showing that he wasn’t the only one who ended up in a forest. He proceeded towards a tree, adding his name to the long list of achievements.

Maybe next season...

Yeah, it was supposed to be funny, but meh, it's hard to be humorous at night.

cool! Can't really cay much due to my lack of info, but yeah. Well written!

And, CC (Constructive Criticism): As a note or rule of thumb, it is always best to have who is saying the dailoge in the description of it, esspecially if the sentence refers to other people. Ex: (assuming I am getting this right) “Hey, why isn’t Nebris here?” Etho asked, and the others quieted to look at Etho, the smiles returning to their faces as Guude spoke again.

This avoids confusion, and is just a nice touch to a writing piece, as well as improving the slow of a sentence or conversation in some cases.

I remember a story about where nebris gets a god apple and he gets shot multiple times and doesn't die, cheaty cheaty nebris... You made a come back - vet anon ( great writing and I'm glad you wrote it, I like cheaty cheaty nebris for some odd reason )
