To Hell and Back, 3

So in an effort to not be "that guy who only does prompt swaps" I've gone ahead and looked at the PromptSalad tumblr page, and chose one out to write.
It's a prompt by geekofmanytopics, and reads like so:
"Zisteau gets lost in the Nether for a long time and starts reverting back into his old pigman ways. (ie. forgetting how to speak and using grunts to communicate) When someone finds him they only recognize him for the lava bucket he clings to."
This will be a multi-length prompt, assuming I don't lose inspiration and burn out.

Vechs and Kurt sat suspended in the air, on a couple of cobblestone blocks. Below them was a massive horde of pigmen, all milling around, as pigmen do. They were both positive that this had to be the place Zisteau would be, if anywhere. Both of them had a seed of doubt in their mind about Zisteau's continued existence, but neither wanted to bring it up, both happy to pretend to be blissfully ignorant. They continually scanned the crowd, looking for anything unusual, but minutes passed and the milling of pigmen slowly grew them angry.
Vechs stood up angrily, tossing a block of cobblestone down at the pigmen in disgust. "Zisteau! Where are you?!" He shouted, scanning the pigmen. After about a minute, he sat down, head covered by his knees and arms. Kurt heard muffled sobbing.
He lazily scanned the pigmen one last time, ready to call it a day. He noticed something in the far left corner that seemed off, but couldn't pinpoint it. He asked Vechs to take a look, who looked up where he was pointing. Despite cloudy eyes, Vechs nodded, confirming Kurt suspicions.
Kurt made his way down, after confirming the pigmen were not aggro'd on him. He looked back up at Vechs and realized that this abnormality in color he saw was likely the only thing protecting Vechs from breaking down.
Eventually he found the culprit of the oddity, a weirdly colored pigman holding an iron bucket filled with lava.
"Z.. Zisteau?"
The pigman grunted back.
Kurt scanned the pigman and compared it to nearby cousins, and noticed multiple differences. Vechs could be heard climbing down the pillar.
"Is it him?!" Vechs called out, about halfway down. Kurt waited until Vechs arrived, and then pointed at the differences between the pigman and its nearby relatives.
"I'm not positive, but I can't imagine it being a normal pigman. He's... unresponsive, which makes me think this isn't him. But then again, the lava bucket..." Kurt replied, watching the suspect pigman turn and walk three feet to the left.
"Zisteau?! Is it you?!" Vechs exclaimed, running over to be in front of the pigman.
"Huuurm." Was the only reply Vechs received.
Kurt unsheathed his sword, running his finger over the blade's flat surface twice. Vechs heard the noise and looked back at him, eyes open in wonderment. "Are you going to...?"
"I think the best strategy is to kill all of them but this one. If it also tries attacking us, it's probably a natural Pigmen and we should probably inform the others of this phenomena. We can also lead it back to Zisteau's house in the overworld and hope that if it is Zisteau, the familiar setting will jog its memories, or something along those lines. But if it doesn't try to attack us..."
"Then it's Zisteau, right?" Vechs said, unsheathing his sword.
"I don't know another explanation." Kurt replied, setting up a podium to attack the pigmen from.
Vechs followed suit, and asked Kurt who'd be the first to attack. Kurt shrugged, and Vechs stabbed the nearest pigman. Suddenly, a deafening roar assaulted their ears, as at least a hundred pigmen charged at them, all grunting in anger. Vechs and Kurt both noted that the one with the bucket wandered off during that and didn't charge at them.
After they spent thirty minutes slicing through pigmen, they removed the podiums from under them, and cautiously walked over to the third entity still alive in the nearby vicinity. Vechs tried to grab its attention while Kurt stood a bit away, putting together plans in his head.
Kurt coughed for attention, which had the intended effect. "Alright, this is what we're going to do..."

After what felt like several lifetimes, and with the help of multiple Mindcrackers, Kurt moved the fences again, locking the pigman, which had already stopped grunting the second it came out of the nether, into on of Zisteau's builds. Both Sethbling and DocM had both agreed with what Kurt had confided to them, in which Kurt had made the assumption that Zisteau had suffered some sort of fall which wiped his memories, reverting him back to what he was by birth, a zombie pigman. He had been holding a bucket of lava at the time, resulting in that being his held item. Doc promised to collaborate with GenerikB and delve into potions to try and find something that would help Zisteau, but suggested that they keep the pigman locked into one of Zisteau's builds to see if that'd revitalize his memory.
Five days later, Aureylian walked out of the Smeltery, turned left and found herself stunned as she saw Zisteau walking towards her.
"Oh hey, Aureylian. Did something happen recently? I can't remember for the life of me what happened in the last month."
