Prompt Swap
Saturday, August 16th, 2014 10:30 amOkay so I got this prompt from theparamedic. I might continue it but no promises. As always comment if I did anything wrong.
Aureylian was walking through the mesa on her way home. When she saw a baby bunny trapped in a pit to bedrock. Someone had left it there to die, the poor thing was skin and bones. She dug a staircase down to him. Once she was down there she picked him up and said, “Aww, aren’t you a cutie. Who would just leave you down here all alone? I’ll take you back to my house, and get you something to eat. That sound good?”
The bunny made a little squeaking noise, and hopped onto Aurey’s shoulder. Aurey squealed and said, “That is so cute, I think I’m going to call you Checkers.”
Aurey then walked back to her house, with Checkers on her shoulder. On the way she ran into Guude, who asked, “Where have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you. What’s with the rabbit?”
“I was at the mesa, that is where I found checkers. Someone had left him in a pit to die! I am taking him to my house to get some food and water.” Aurey responded.
“I’ll come with you.” Guude announced.
They then walked back to Aurey’s house. When they got there Aurey spoke, “Hey Guude, I’m going to go get Checkers some carrots. Do you mind watching him for me?”
“Not at all, go get this little guy some carrots.” Guude replied taking checkers off Aurey’s shoulder.
When Aurey came back she screamed. All her sheep were gone! Still freaking out she yelled, “Guude, what did you do with my sheep?!”
Guude came up from the mines and stopped shocked when he saw that the sheep were gone. After a couple seconds he recovered and said, “Nothing, I swear I have been in the mine with Checkers the whole time! Wait where is he?”
Then they heard a faint squeaking noise coming from behind the chests. Aurey walked over there and moved the chests aside, revealing a terrified Checkers. Aurey picked him up and turned to Guude saying, “First you kill my sheep, then you stuff Checkers in a wall. I-I just can’t. You need to leave now.”
Guude stared at her shocked and said, “But I didn’t do anything!”
“Get out! NOW!” Aurey screamed.
Guude staggered out of the house, confused and upset. He didn’t kill the sheep, and he had no idea who did or even would.
After Guude left Aurey just stared blankly at the empty pens where the sheep used to be. Then she was snapped out of her dase by Checkers, who started squeaking loudly. She turned to him saying softly, “Poor Checkers, I almost forgot about you, here are your carrots.” She gave him the carrots, and continued speaking, “Alright you finish those up I’m going to sleep.”
The next morning Aurey didn’t wake up.
It wasn’t Guude who killed the sheep it was Checkers! Because he was The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog, and now that he had gotten Aureylian out of the way he was going to take over all of Mindcrack!
His plotting was interrupted when someone knocked at the door. That person called out cheerfully, “Rel Rel, I heard what Guude did to your sheep so I brought you some more.”
Taking over Mindcrack could wait now he was hungry.
