mindcrackloveSo in an effort to not be "that guy who only does prompt swaps" I've gone ahead and looked at the PromptSalad tumblr page, and chose one out to write.
It's a prompt by geekofmanytopics, and reads like so:
"Zisteau gets lost in the Nether for a long time and starts reverting back into his old pigman ways. (ie. forgetting how to speak and using grunts to communicate) When someone finds him they only recognize him for the lava bucket he clings to."
This will be a multi-length prompt, assuming I don't lose inspiration and burn out.

Kurt stood on the Soul Sand, staring up as Vechs climbed the cliff face. Vechs wanted to get up there, as it was one of the last parts of the Nether they had yet to see visably. He also said it'd give him a good sight of anything interesting from up there, but Kurt wasn't so sure that the view up there was any more advantageous. He watched the Sword and Pick cleave through the Netherrack, pulled out and jammed back in at a higher elevation, slowly raising up the redshirted hopeful rescuer.
Once the man's leg dissapeared over the summit, Kurt thought back to yesterday, where Vechs had spent no time fidgeting around and had straight up asked him to go search for Zisteau. Kurt had felt embarrased, to be truthful. He had no knowledge of the pigman's disappearance, but he had hid that fact from Vechs, who he had no doubt would be severly upset that Kurt lacked that knowledge. After agreeing, despite a fair bit of uncertainty, Vechs had given him various tools and equipment from his stash, stuff he was unlikely to ever have aqquired. Vechs had made an offhand comment that if it got to it, he could keep the gifts, but Kurt didn't put too much stock in it, as the young man was most definitely over-excited and pleased that Kurt would be accompanying him.
"Kurt! Nothing worth mentioning up here!" He heard, jolting him back to the present. Vechs was already slowly rappeling down with his sword, putting downward pressure on it so it would cut through the Netherrack slowly in a downwards fashion. Once Vechs had two feet on the ground, Kurt pulled out his map again, crossing out their current location with ink from his Ink Sac. Vechs peered over his shoulder, and pointed at the only remaining area they had yet to see or be at, a large pool of red in the eastern wall. Kurt nodded, pulling out a piece of Chicken from The Royal Cluck, gnawing at it. He acknowledged when Vechs made a comment about him being the one doing all the hard work, responding with a quip that he was the one having to stand on his feet that entire time.
Eventually they began traversing the landscape. Kurt wished out loud that the Nether dimension was a little more interesting, as apart Vech's mountain climbing, there was nothing worth writing home about. Vechs agreed, but left it at that. As they approached the lava lake, Vechs started fretting about how it didn't make sense Zisteau could be there. Kurt didn't reply or acknowledge the mumblings, as Vech's optimism had brushed off on him, and he was internally unsure of the success they would find searching the lava lake. He began to wonder if Zisteau had slipped out of the Nether at some point, but didn't bring it up, fearing Vechs would lose all hope. It was one thing to search the Nether, but a whole different story searching caves, ravines, overworld and sky to find someone.
They scoured around the lava lake, looking for signs of human presence, or as it was, abnormal pigman presence, but none was to be found. He noticed Vechs was taking more and more looks at the lava itself, and Kurt prepared himself for Vechs to pull a Fire Resistance potion out and chug it to finish the job. After a couple of minutes, he felt a tap on the shoulder, and turned around to see Vechs offering him a reddish glowing glass bottle.
"I want you to do it. I have the better bow, I'll fight off the Ghasts." Vechs said, putting the potion near Kurt's hands.
Kurt nodded, grasping the bottle. He took a deep breath and took the sweet liquid in a single go, nodding to Vechs and going into the lava as one would a refreshing pool. He spent about a minute astounding how a potion could turn everything on his person, as well as his person, immune to the effects of the usually-boiling liquid. He looked around for something major, but found nothing. He did note something, however. At the bottom of the lake, near the center, a small crater had formed. He swam closer to it, and suddenly the sounds of pigmen filled his ears, and he noticed a small laval piller leading further downwards through the bedrock, to places unknown.
"Vechs?"
"Yeah?!"
"Come down here, would ya?"
