Just the various Mindcrack related thoughts on my mind today.

-We learn in Beef's video that apparently everyone in his past is named Joe. Interesting tidbit to keep in mind?

-Pakratt takes a stab at the "McGamer" gag by naming his food court after him, golden M and all. And yet on the sign he uses the proper capitalization.

-I neglected to notice yesterday amid the prank drama that Millbee had posted an application to join the B Team, hours before the prank videos went live. I'm not sure how to interpret this considering the accidental sheep slaying and Millbee's response tweets. Anyone else have new thoughts on the matter?

-I made my first fanart, as per kissingpigmen's suggestion.

-As further evidence that this place has already corrupted my mind beyond repair, I keep having Kurt/Zisteau thoughts for no particular reason, and I'm not even convinced I should be worried anymore. Also, do you guys do those funny portmanteau ship names? I've been calling this one Kursteau in my head.

* As I said in the reddit thread for that video, it's hilarious that everyone in Beef's life is named Joe, because everyone in my life (well, a significant number of college buddies) are named Dan, which is Beef's real name.

* Pak is hilarious. I really dig his and MC's friendship, I think they balance each other well.

* Oh yes, oh yes! I think an interesting twist for Pause would be Millbee spending more and more time with Team B, leaving Pause behind a bit.

* Nope, no reason to worry. Honestly, as long as you're not so tinhatted you think they're all REALLY DOING IT OH MY GOD NOTHING WILL CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE you'll be fine. I think making up stories in your head about people is a sincere form of flattery.

I tend to call Single Malt...Single Malt. :P I guess in general I name pairings by "canon names" when possible (OOG, Single Malt, Mashed Potatoes), though I'll gladly portmanteau many others, like Pausebee and VintagePause.

Hehe, I saw that comment. That's really funny. In the same thread I pointed out the existence of Joe Hills. There's some kind of crack fic in there, I'm sure.

As for the shipping, it's just something I've never done before, so this happening is kind of a new experience and I'm not sure how to react to it. Especially since the people involved are non fictional, and I think Kurt's the type who would be really weirded out by it.

I get the impression Kurt is weirded out by a ton of stuff, so I wouldn't let that deter you too much. And obviously don't link him to stuff. XD But I think he's bee online long enough to know this sort of thing happens and would just ignore it.

In any event, I'm glad you're getting a bit into it, even if you're not super shippy. :D

You should've seen the "nude calendar" someone did during Kurt's live stream. It was both glorious and really disturbing. It's fun to like, ship people, I guess, but it's more of their personas more than the actual person. KurtJMac vs Kurt the person kind of thing.

And the portmanteau I use for Kurt/Z? Team Hellhounds. What a great name.

Also I am so in love with that fan art I should make it my phone's wallpaper.

There definitely is a boundary between persona vs. person, but it's really crazy fuzzy in this fandom. Many of the guys are so willing to talk about their real lives and real experiences while in the context of an LP. Jason may be the one who experienced all those crazy stories, but we hear about them while he's "playing" Guude on the Mindcrack server; Jason may only be joking, but he (or is it Guude?) keeps flirting with BdoubleO (or is it John?) every time they play maps together. Where does "Jason" end and "Guude" begin?

...this is the entire reason my fanfic-eternally-in-progress exists. >.>

I like the name Team Hellhounds. I almost wish it was canon over Single Malt Scotch, but as I said I'll take the canon when it exists. :P

Milbee suggested and the chat delivered. Twice. It was crazy. I think they were talking about new milestones and Millbee suggested they'd all pose for an all-nude calendar, but it'd have like, Minecraft blocks covering their groins. While the actual execution was kind of horrifying, the concept is oh so amazing.

Yeah, the line is really thin, and fuzzy, but it exists. But for people like Zisteau, he plays up his zombie pigman persona all the time. Etho does it too. You end up knowing more about the character than you do the person.

And ugh you have no idea how badly i wanted them to be Team Hellhounds. Team Single Malt Scotch is just so long, sob.

Oh god, I saw that calendar. I think that was tipping the weirdness scale even for r/mindcrack. And yet, so hilarious.

Yeah, I guess you could make the distinction between personas, but I don't think most of them really try to play up their "character." They're just themselves, which I think a lot of people like.

Not sure how I feel about the Joes in Beefs life, but it was very interesting to hear about his youth. I hope he'll do more stories like that. I feel a bit creepy, but I always enjoy learning more about him.

I don't usually do portmanteau names, but I would say OOG or something.

The Millbee video is really interesting. I hope that more of them comment on that and Team B and the trial and the prank, etc. I really want more of a linear story, but I feel like Beef and Etho (and Guude, a little) aren't really playing along. :/

Yeah, it's not everyone's style to play up the overarching events. I do like how big the trial's apparently going to be. That should be good.
