Hello! Hope you like! I really shouldn't be posting things at night... Oh well!

The Spider (Several POV's [Aurey-Nebris])

Vechs exploded into the room with his sword drawn. I was screeching at the top of my lungs. A small spider was crawling across my hand. Etho and Nebris were laughing. I shook my hand furiously. A slow grin slid into place on Vechs face.

"Eeeeeeek! Guys!" I whined. The spider was half way up my arm now. Etho finally broke down and swatted it off my arm and onto the counter. Raising a spoon up to squash the spider, I saw it cower down. I hesitated.

"It's scared! I don't want to kill it!" I said. Nebris rolled his eyes, but Etho looked at the spider.

"Well, if that isn't a Millbee spider I don't know what is!" Etho laughed. Looking closer at the spider I saw a small rainbow leg.

"Millbee?" I asked. What was Millbee?

"Yes, Millbee the shapeshifter of Mindcrack." Nebris explained. With a big POP! Millbee shifted in his human form.

"Hello! Man I hate being a spider! All those legs and they're so small!" Millbee exclaimed. Good thing I didn't crush him...

"Millbee! How is Mindcrack? Beef? Pause? Kurt?" Etho blurted out. Millbee wasn't tall and wasn't the leanest person. On his arm a ring of tattoos formed a endless rainbow.

"Umm, they're at war... No one has heard from Pause for some time and Beef got stuck in the crossfire..." A lot less happy Millbee answered.

"How is Beef? And Kurt?"Etho repeated.

"Kurt is fine, so is Pyro." Millbee dodged the Beef question...

"How is Beef? Millbee, answer me!" Etho yelled. Etho never yelled like that. Ever.

"Beef is dead" Horrifed, Etho froze. Nebris stepped around me and snatched Etho into a hug. Vechs' hand slipped into mine and his eyes closed. I knew about Mindcrack and how Etho, Vechs, and Nebris were my protecters. Beef had been one of Ethos best friends.

--Nebris POV--

It hurt to see Etho hurting like this. I whispered soft reassurances in his ear. Beef had been a rancher and builder. I knew how much Beef meant to him. Etho shrugged me off and jogged up to his room.

"I'll go check on him" I volunteered. Beef was dead. Pause was missing. Ethos two best friends. As I walked down the hall and up the stairs I heard muffled sobs. I knocked on Etho's door. When no answer came I gently pushed the door open. Etho was curled up on the floor. His eyes were red from crying. I haven't seen Etho cry since we rescued him from the Cube's prison. And that was after he had been tortured!

"Beef!" Etho whimpered. I got down and curled around my grieving friend.

"Shhhh" Trying to sooth him wouldn't help. He had just lost his best friend. I felt the shudders that were wracking his body.

"He's dead. Beef's dead." Etho repeated over and over again. I started rubbing his back, trying to silently support him. He turned and hugged me. I stiffened for a second before wrapping my arms around him and relaxing. Soon my jacket was soaked with Etho's tears. With every tear my heart wrenched. Etho let go of me and sat up.

"I'm going to go for a walk. Please don't follow me. I'll be back by dinner." Etho sounded so... Dead. The happy voice I was so used to was gone.

"Be safe, If your not back by dinner I'm going out to look for you" Etho just nodded and walked out and down the stairs. By the time I got out of the downstairs hallway he had gone.
