Power Down Chapter 5: Mysterious City

Remember when I said I wasn't going to post soon?

I LIED.



After Vechs took the map, they went back to the camp to tell Paul.

"A city, huh?" Paul said as he stroked his goatee. "Never heard of another city, although I guess it isn't totally out of the question. I've never found one when exploring. then again, I've never gone past this forest before."

"Well, we should definitely check it out." Vechs said.

"Yea!" Aureylian said enthusiastically. "The journal said something about an energy source. We have to find the person who wrote it."

"Well let's get going then!" Paul said. "After we sleep, of course."

The three retreated to their respective tents.

"Good night, Aureylian."

"Good night Vechs."

Paul and Vechs dreamed of what awaited them in the city. Aureylian dreamed of home.

The three finally exited the forest after a few hours of walking.

"Let's take a rest." Vechs said, sitting down. "My feet are killing me."

"Agreed." Aureylian said, sitting down. Paul sighed, but sat as well.

The three looked across the plains into the city.

"Looks pretty big." Vechs commented. "Wonder who lives there?"

"Bigger than Spawn Town, that's for sure."

"Look at those buildings! They're all made of iron."

"You're right! Where did they get all that?"

"Let's go check it out!"

The invigorated trio entered the city after only a few minutes of walking.

"Hello?" Vechs called out. His voice seemed to echo around the steel buildings.

"This is surreal. Where is everyone?" Aureylian asked.

Paul adjusted his brown hat. "I'm going to investigate. You two stay here."

Vechs and Aureylian laughed after Paul left and began exploring.

"This place is kind of creepy." Aureylian

"Yea. I wonder is they have any bakeries over here?"

Aureylian laughed. "I guess we could just go in and take the food."

"Mmmmm. I want to do that now. Think of the delicious food."

"Vechs!" She giggled, despite her jokingly indignant tone.

"Don't let to me and say that you wouldn't like that."

Suddenly a scraping noise was hears. Aureylian quickly stopped giggling and Vechs pulled out a plasma blaster. "What was that, Vechs?"

"I have no idea, but I think we're going to fin..."

Vechs was cut off by a giant lamppost falling right in front of them. Aureylian screamed as the lamppost got up, it's light turned to face them.

The lamppost attacked.




MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I am evil. Also, this is the first chapter that has been beta'd by coolboynbg-1! So thanks to him! Anyways, see you next time!

It's coming well. Me clash and sev are kinda in an administrative period where we're figuring out how to do stuff. But chapter three is pretty much done, just got some housekeeping to do to it. :)
