When fanfiction becomes reality?

Spoilers for those who haven't seen Zisteau's Wither fight.

So Zisteau has apparently unleashed two Withers into the wilderness on the main server by his developing village. I'm almost expecting them to become unbeatable and that they'll terrorise the server, slowly making their way to spawn village and thus following the events of that fic where Withers are dominating the server. Its all I can see now. Damnit Zisteau.

Thoughts?

This. This is exactly what I thought when I reached the point of the episode where he was forced to leave the withers roaming the wilderness. Also, I've been watching some of the old OOGE videos, and the repeated dying, respawning, and dying of the first bit of Spellbound Caverns left me thinking about the eternal limbo of respawning over a void that was suggested by someone for a logical reason to be afraid of death. To be perfectly honest, being stuck in something like that in a world where you instantly respawned without a "You died!" screen... that'd be living hell.

Speaking of this story, any progress from the person writing it? I've been looking forwards to the next part of the story. It's really good.

Maybe if we're lucky we'll get a video or two of a plucky band of heroes out to save the server from the Wither menace. And maybe this will encourage our wonderful fic author? Either way I'm looking forward to whatever happens.

Though, honestly, it's not like this is the first time there's been a wither fight that went horribly wrong and had to be cleaned up later. Those situations were probably part of what inspired the witherpocalypse idea.

Also, you guys do realize this is part of the fic canon now, right? That Zisteau was among those responsible for the problem and is most certainly dead from it.

No! I was still holding out that Kurt and Zisteau had escaped into the nether and Beef and Guude were going to run into them in the next addition.

No such luck, unfortunately. To be fair, I had already figured Zisteau would have tried to defend against the withers, possibly making the fatal mistake of declaring himself a lava expert along the way, but I didn't think he'd be the one to summon them. As for Kurt, he's still off wandering the wilderness making random wheat farms in the middle of nowhere, and only survived until the withers caught up to him. Zisteau wouldn't have had time to look for him anyway. No one knew where Kurt was.

I'm sorry. I'm a terrible person.

I haven't seen too many other Wither fights from the guys I watch aside from the group fight, so I'm not really used to seeing them fail.

I believe Anderz had one that he couldn't handle, and a couple of other people (I forget who, exactly) had to come kill it for him. The B Team also had one where they tried to summon it in an obsidian box and drown it, which promptly and predictably backfired in a big way. By the end of the episode they vowed to let it wander off and never return to that chunk again, but later they had a special livestream where they geared up and killed it. There might've been another one, but I don't know for sure.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to think about this during the video!! I was practically screaming at the screen, hoping he wouldn't just leave them (unfortunately the parents were home so I was unable to do such a thing without looking completely insane.)

Gosh darn it, Zisteau! Why must you unleash this havoc on the server?! D:

I know, I was at first convinced he was just hyper competant and had finished them all in 20 minutes. Then it got to ten minutes in and he still hadn't summoned them yet and I was torn between convinced he was just that good with redstone and tnt or convinced he was going to blow his entire village to kingdom come with those wither blasts.

I was so sure he was gonna do it as his plan sounded pretty flawless to me (as well as humourous xP) but when he was coming back from the village, I was freaking out thinking that the Withers would go and get him while he was there.

Me too. It's kinda sweet, all these new people on the server having their first Mindcrack holiday with all the presents. Especially Zisteau. I very much doubt they have holidays like that in the nether. :P (...And now I want to write fic about a pigmans first Xmas...)
