School Shenanigans: Continuing from Picked Up

Firstly, I've decided to at least Mini-series the toddler cracker thing. Secondly, I've decided against using a beta for this series and this series alone. It's more because I enjoy the convenience of posting when I write it, but it's also cause I want it to be my own flavour of writing. But anyways, ignore my strangeness.



Vechs looked out the window as Paul pulled to a stop.

Paul smiled back to the little one in the back seat, "It's gonna be fine pal, I know you're a little nervous and all, I mean, it is your first day of school, but you already have a few friends. There's Aurey, and Pyro, and even Millbee."

Vechs scowled at the name. "Millbee ain't my friend."

"Nonsense, now grab your bag, I'll be here to pick you up when school ends. Okay?" Paul attempted to comfort him.

"Okay. Sweaw?" Vechs quietly let off while reaching out his hand, stretching his pinky.

"I pinky swear that I will be here to get you when school lets out." Paul used a reassuring tone as he locked pinkies and shook.

Vechs smiled, assured he wouldn't be forgotten, and grabbed his bag with little bats patterned on it. He stepped out of the car and started for the door. Just before entering, he turned back and flashed a nervous smile to his uncle. Paul waved a goodbye and started his car. Vechs took it as his sign to go ahead and did just that.

Once inside, he was greeted by a nice man named Avidya.

"Hello there, my name is Avidya Zen, you can call me Avidya or Mr.Zen, whatever makes you're most comfortable with. What's your name?" He used a nice, calming tone.

Vechs spouted off easily, "Vechs Soawes. Soawes isn't actually my last name but it's my uncle's and I live with him."

Avidya started to lead Vechs, "I think you're in Mr.Kurt's class." He showed Vechs the room. "Looks like you're the second one here."

Vechs slowly stepped in, observing his surroundings. The room looked fairly normal, though there definitely was an emphasis on nature.

The teacher looked back at the young boy entering the room. "Hello there. My name's Mr.Mac, but I'd prefer Mr.Kurt."

Vechs was still a bit busy examining his surroundings. "Oh, um, my name's Vechs Soawes."

Kurt nodded his head with a smile and went back to messing with his whiteboard. Vechs started back to the other kid in the class. He was playing with a few golden coins.

"Hello thewe." Vechs said while taking a seat by him.

"Hey! I'm Andewz!" The other boy sounded excited, that was for sure.

"I'm Vechs, what's with those?" He kind of motioned to the coins.

"Oh, these! I found dem when I came hewe. I used to wiv in Sweden." Vechs figured that was the cause if the accent.

"Cool! What's it like thewe?" Vechs shot back.

"Cold!" Anderz kind of yelled while making a cold motion.

They started talking about all sorts of things, clearly becoming friends.

They stuck together for the day, enjoying each other's company. When the day rolled around to the end, they said their goodbyes, a bit saddened to leaving each other. There were tears and hugs, but smiles too. Anderz hopped into a car and waved. Vechs waved back, while searching for his own ride. He started to worry when Paul pulled up by the steps. Vechs ran (well, waddled with his toddler legs) to the car and jumped in.

"Hey Champ! How'd it go?" Paul smiled back.

"It was cool Uncle Paul! I made a fwiend! His name was Andewz. He's fwom Sweden." Vechs kind of bounced in his seat.

"That's great Vechs!" Paul gave Vechs a proud smile and turned back to the windshield. Vechs smiled and watched as the school turned to a distant speck.

I can understand not wanting a beta, but please remember to keep the advice in mind when writing this.

Damn. I'm not doing my best then. Just you wait, next time, you'll be having spasms. As for full series, I'm not completely sure. A mini-series of around 6 parts is guaranteed, but after that, to continue, I'd probably need a co-writer.
