so as this is my first post in a bit over a year, many of you probably don't recognize me. So hi, I'm Star, and I like to write UHC fics
and with that, be warned of UHC 17 spoilers ahead
(also there are so many tags now I'm a little unsure of what to tag this as so if I miss something I apologize u-u)
With the first metallic bite he could taste the raw power on his tongue. Swallowing the chunk of the god's fruit, he felt a grin spread on his face as his throat burned from a combination of the Nether's arid atmosphere and the heavy amount of gold flaking off the apple and irritating the inside of his esophagus. An arrow pierced through his glowing iron armor, reminding him of the situation at hand with a dull pain to his shoulder. Anderz excited shouting, voice completely laced with confidence in his victory, only made him smirk as he greedily devoured the rest of his ticket to victory, tossing the core to the side as another arrow found its mark on his body, but he felt nothing aside from the surge of energy. He pulled out his bow, carefully and swiftly lining up an arrow on the rest, barely noticing another arrow hit him as he let his first fly. It found its target easily, though his following shots weren't as well aimed.
The barrage of arrows from his enemy continued without pause, and somewhere in his mind he was aware that if it weren't for the apple, he would've died many shots ago. But he had it, and he was going to milk it for all it was worth. This was the moment he had been waiting for, and nothing was going to stop him now. Nothing.
After what seemed like around 10 or so arrows successfully hitting him, the triumphant shouts from the Viking turned into confused questioning of "why isn't he dead?!" He couldn't help but smirk as Anderz fell back, clearly getting weaker. He had no doubt that his opponent's reckless behavior earlier in the match had led to his abundant supply of gold going to waste. He was more strategic than that. He had saved all his findings for this very moment, almost falling to his first real opponent of Sethbling from reluctance to use the literal fruit of his efforts on a lower tiered enemy. And it had paid off.
He pursued the retreating Swede, pulling an arrow from his battered body instead of wasting one in his quiver. It wasn't like it mattered, seeing as he felt no pain at the moment, so it was better to pull them out before the apple's power wore off anyway. He loaded an arrow onto his bow and shot it off at Anderz, grinning in satisfaction as it caused the weakened man to topple over, clearly approaching death. He didn't walk closer to gloat in his victory though. He simply fired one last shot, feeling proud when a death message rang out, alerting all remaining players of his victory over one AnderZEL. Walking over to the rapidly fading corpse, he quickly looted what he wanted from the others belongings, mainly his unused strength potion and potion making equipment. He certainly would need these, now that he had used his greatest asset. Not that he was weak without it or anything. Now that Anderz was out of the picture, he had no doubts in his victory. He would win. This was his season.
After all, he was a god now.
