Intro to me/teaser for a new story

mindcrackloveWell, hello! I'm the Mysterious M, as the name says. I probably won't be too active, but sometimes my brain is too full of ideas, so I have to write. If you have any writers block, maybe I can think of some ideas to help. Anyways, here is a little teaser to my first story.
Power Down
On a distant plain lies an isolated community known only as Mindcrack. Although they have been running self sufficiently for many years, their main source of power, the beacons, were beginning to lose some of their energy output. Disturbed, and with no idea of any other life on the planet, they send 3 explorers out to search for an energy source.
Paul: A veteran explorer who has seen everything and can guide the group through tough times.
Vechs: A mechanical genius with an incredible aim.
Aureylian: An expert on plants and energy sources.
The three embark on a journey to save their home, which is so interesting, it deserves its own story. So, here it is!
