Of Fire and Light Chapter 0 (Prologue)

mindcrackloveHello! This is elektron124 here, with the 0th chapter of my first fic: Of Fire and Light. Post any questions, comments, concerns in the comments below :) and please give feedback!
Chapter 1
Vechs Davion was a completely normal child. That is, right up until the age of six. Then weird things started happening. Fires would start around the house, smoke alarms would spontaneously trip, but Vechs' parents brushed these incidents aside. Vechs grew older. One day, he went to talk to his parents, who were sitting outside.
"Look mommy, I got a fire!" said Vechs, showing his mother a lit lighter.
Vechs' mother told him to never play with fire.
"But mommy i can move the fire around!" The tiny flame suddenly flew up above Vechs' head. "See?"
"Vechs, come inside please."
"Vechs, you have powers which people at school don't have, okay? They must not know that you have powers. That means you must never tell anyone you have powers, and no fire outside the house, or double chores for a week. Understand?"
A sullen Vechs nodded, a happy event turned into a disaster.
Years later, Vechs would come to thank his parents.
