Orange is a Pretty Color [MC/Aurey]

Aureylian was standing back and staring up at the man in the bright orange jacket on top of the burning building.
"MC," she called out to him hesitantly, "are you sure you know what you're doing?"
MC laughed and jumped from one piece of burning wooden scaffolding to the next, almost losing his balance and falling into the fiery mess of what was left of the building bellow. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." He said, still grinning down at the girl with bright red hair. "You'd catch me if I fell anyway, right?"
Aureylian crossed her arms over her chest and made a disapproving face at MC, "You would still get hurt, even if I was able to catch you." she mumbled to herself.
"What was that?"
"Nothing!"
MC laughed again and began descending down the ladder that was leaning against the side of the building. When he was safely on the ground, he made his way over to Aurey and stared up at the still burning building with her.
"You sure Arkas gave you permission to burn this?" MC asked, glancing over at the girl standing next to him.
Aurey sighed and pulled out the contract from her dress pocket and unrolled it to show to MC for, what felt like, the millionth time. "See? It's all fine."
MC nodded, "Just making sure. We should make s'mores now."
Aureylian laughed and looked over at the flames again. "Orange is a pretty color, don't you think? I mean, red and pink are nice colors," as she said that, she tugged on her hair, "but orange is the color of sunsets and friendships."
"Friendships?" at the mention of the color orange, MC had glanced down at his bright jacket of the same color, but now he was looking over at Aurey. She was staring off into the setting sun with a small smile on her face.
"Yep, friendships." She turned towards the boy in the suit and held out her hand towards him. Her smile was much bigger now and her eyes were closed with her head tilted towards one side. MC couldn't help but smile at how cute Aruey looked as he grabbed her outstretched hand.
"Aureylian," MC spoke when she opened her eyes again, "I think red is a pretty color too."
