New Season

Apparently on the 19th, there's a new season/server starting. We're waiting on what the second news will be.

My guess? New members for new server/season.

Edit - Okay, my guess was right. Time to add a Sevadus tag!

I'm indifferent about Sevadus joining. I don't know a whole lot about him, but hopefully he'll be a good addition to the server!

Though, I'm not excited in the slightest about the server reset. Last season lasted twice as long as this season did, and so many projects aren't done! :(

I can't decide how I feel, I guess I am mostly just shocked. I wasn't expecting a server reset anytime soon. I see that is necessary in order to get people to play on the vanilla server but taking a break for ftb is fine, as long as they come back eventually. Still there are so many projects that I wanted to see finished like Etho's arena.

I guess I'm a little sad but as long as the Mindcrackers are happy-and hopefully putting out videos- then I can't argue.

Guude mentioned on Sev's stream that it should be done by the reset, and even if not he can save the chunks and put them wherever he wants to.

I have to agree with you on the projects standpoint - I've been looking forward to the completion of this map's Etho's Arena for what seems like forever. I hope that they at least play a match in it, finished or not!

I figured we still had a year and a half before the next reset. This will be my first reset, actually. I'm slightly excited, slightly annoyed.

A reset already? I wasn't here for the last reset, but I know Season 3 lasted a whole lot longer that this. Also there was Etho's Arena, Zisteau's Base, all unfinished. Aurey didn't even get to finish her castle! Wow, this was unexpected.

And even though I don't know much about Sevadus, wooo another Cracker! This should be exciting ^-^

Also, I watched both Vetchuses and Generik's videos and they both said there is going to be a new, super-secret twist to Season 5- oooh :D

I practically had a heart attack from the first two minutes of Vechs video. Jeez, that guys persona isn't evil for nothing. Sev should make a nice addition to the server though, although I'm a little sad to see all of these builds go to waste.

I don't know Sevadus... I only know him from this UHC.

But that said I didn't know Aureylian either.

im unhappy about the reset...or i was at first...

but there's just something about new beginnings, isn't there? i started watching at the end of season three with kurt building the tower of pimps and then i started watching beef (he was more frequent and his jungle base still kinda feels like home)...

so season four is my season and we had a lot of fun. it's gonna be sad to see it go. it's very...bittersweet i suppose.

i am excited about sevadus though, i do like him quite a bit! he's a little cutie owo

I have to say, I'm not exactly happy about the server reset. The whole season just feels so... unfinished, in a way, and not just by the amount of incomplete builds. Season three felt a bit unfinished, too, but it did at least feel like it had run its course.

Season four, however? I don't know - it just doesn't feel right that it's ending so soon. I know that people have said that builds in Minecraft aren't exactly meant to be finished (I believe Beef said something on this quite recently, actually), but looking at everything that's not done... I don't know. Even without considering the unfinished builds, I just feel like there's a lot of wasted potential with the season four map, for some reason.

As for Sevadus joining, well... I'm alright with that, and I think and hope that he'll make a good addition to the group. I believe I saw him in some of Pause's ARMA 3 videos a while back, and liked him well enough. Plus, it's always nice to have a new Mindcracker join, in my own personal opinion. With some of the members as 'inactive' as they are (inactive in the sense of the actual server more than anything, I mean; there's a good amount of interaction that goes on outside it, of course), the recent double dose of fresh blood seems to be a hope for a bit of a vanilla revival. Then again, maybe that's what the server reset is hoping to accomplish. I suppose we can only wait and see.

Though Sevadus is a welcome addition, I do admit that I was hoping to see Rob and/or Coe on the lineup for the next season. Even though they aren't 'true' Mindcrackers, I'd call them at least 'honorary' any day, as I know many people do.

Well... here's hoping that season five lives up to its predecessors! :)

According to Vechs, there are going to be some "new twists" on the season.

Count me as another one who's surprised to see a reset so soon. I'm a bit sad for the guys who'll have so much unfinished - mostly Kurt, he spent so long as a non-builder and it seemed like he was genuinely starting to enjoy it. Fermilab was looking so awesome too. :/

New starts are good though, and it seems like we might be getting more new people for season 5, plus the 'twists' for this season that they've been hinting at.
