Edit regarding the backlash against Pause: considering this is a guy who regularly takes on Vechs maps which have no rules on not placing/breaking blocks, why is anyone surprised that Pause would take the greedy option? The fact that it failed, though...that's going to be very interesting indeed.

Millbee is very chill and seems to know how to handle Pause's moods, but I can see him being annoyed that Pause tried to be greedy and he ended up accidentally killing 'him'. I'm wondering what GennyB's motivation for all this is. Pause was already on his side and Millbee just applied to join Team B. Was he testing Pause for some reason to see if he could really be trusted?

Re the backlash: Apparently Pause has had to turn off comments. Geez.

Yeah, I could easily see it being "well he's Pause, yes, but he's also Canadian. Can we really trust him to stay on our side?" And Pause was not entirely truthful when he said no one had complimented the suit before: Beef has.

I definitely remembered Beef complimenting the suit. I've always wondered why Pause wore the suit in the first place. Was it really to impress Beef, or was it (my impression) something he did for something unrelated and then forgot he still had on when he signed on to record Stay Forever Together?

I'm disappointed Pause didn't "choose" but it's also exactly the right response for him, so I'm not surprised. I thought at first that GenerikB has set it up so that IF Pause was greedy it'd auto-kill both. I'm still not sure how the sheep died. Was it down to one hit and he killd it with the pick? It didn't look like it fell into the lava, and it opened the cow's side, so I guess somehow he triggered the switch?

But Generik's Tale of Pause was pretty epic. He rages too much and he loves too much. Oh man. Can't wait to see Millbee and Beef talk about it (I hope they do). And it will be interesting to see how this influences the trial. Millbee joining the B Team is one, but Pause is their lawyer, so what's the deal there? Will he be fired? Will they ignore this? Beef?

I really really REALLY want to hear Beef's take on recent events - everything about the B Team vs. Etho thing, all the recent shenanigans with Pausebee...he must have a lot on his mind.

I really want Beef's take too. I love his videos, but he does tend to operate in a sort of alternate universe where he's not interacting with the events going on on the server. He hasn't talked at all about the trial or B Team or anything, except maybe just very briefly. It's kind of weird. I hope he will talk about it soon. I HAVE SO MANY FEELS.

Also, speaking of alternate universes, I kind of want them now where Pause chooses. Maybe one of those "Five times Pause Did X" where he picks Millbee and the outcome, picks Beef and the outcome, picks to sacrifice his things and the outcome, etc...

As you've noticed, Genny is awesome with the redstone. In Hermitcraft, his base is basically a huge puzzle map that people have to go through adventure-map-style (i.e. no placing/breaking blocks) and if they do they can come and go as they please (i.e. they earn the right to prank Genny). So it's become this kind of expectation that if Genny presents you with redstone, you "follow the rules" and not break anything...

...which Pause totally flaunted, because Pause is the kind of guy who plays Vechs maps and tunnels everywhere and steals things from dispensers just to laugh at mapmakers. (As well as to be a little greedy and save Millbee, Beef, AND his possessions all at once.)

So we're finally getting the Millbee and MC interaction MC has been asking for ever since Millbee entered the server - and it's so much more amazing than I thought it'd be. They're flinging references at each other constantly and it's wonderful.

This fandom. THIS FANDOM. It's so crazy. We get such REAL TIME developments of canon events, and stuff like this where all our crazy is basically validated and just. WHAT IS BEEF'S REACTION? Millbee's reacted some on Twitter, but WHAT DOES IT MEAN. It's like, I want the pillow-talk tonight, you know, where Pause has to be like, "sooooo, I accidentally killed you today..."

I suspect we'll have a lot more angsty fic ideas to bounce back and forth as this new drama continues.

The funny thing (well, another funny thing) is that while I was having dinner right after my last post, I thought of that hypothetical situation where Pause said that if he had to shoot either Beef or Millbee, he'd kill himself instead, and hey, alternate tragic ending, because goodness knows it wasn't depressing enough already. And then I come back to see THIS, are you SERIOUS?!

So Genny, who I keep calling out on his ludicrous level of flirting with multiple Mindcrackers, has stated that "you can only have one BFF".

So what's Genny's? I know Bdubs is the most obvious option, but what about Guude? What about Doc? Or even Keralis, who is "his favorite" of the Hermits back home? (If you only watch two Hermitcraft videos, let them be Genny's "dead booshes" prank on Keralis and Hypno getting through Genny's puzzles.) Contrary hermit is contrary!

That whole speech was a bit weird. I felt like he was saying BFF instead of "Boyfriend" to try to keep it PC for the kiddies (don't want to expose them to GASPPPPP GAY PEOPLE), but it made the whole thing really weird. Because yeah, you really CAN have two best friends. What he really meant to say was "you can't have two boyfriends" and he chickened out on saying it. But of course THAT is wrong, too. Most people don't have two boyfriends, but there's nothing wrong with it if all parties involved are okay. I get the sentiment, and it worked for the prank, but it was a bit :/ inducing.

Really, he doesn't need to fill it with that sort of nonsense, either. Just "You can only pick one, Millbee, Beef or your valuables?" It works beautifully just like that. (AND I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO HE'D'VE PICKED IF HE HAD BEEN UNABLE TO CHEAT.)

I thought it was more like the meaning of "best" being that there can only be one best thing for any given collection of things, rather than any weird gay shyness. If it's "the" best, there's technically only one.

I don't watch much Hermitcraft (a couple of Genny's tours and pranks and some of Joe's shorts and that's it) but it's a pretty fascinating community in its own light and I wish I knew more about it. It's really a shame /r/hermitcraft is being squatted, because I'd love to meet other fans to discuss it and Youtube really isn't a good place for that.
