Prompt Swap -- Bookworm
Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 12:10 amI chose this prompt from Book: "Two characters of your choice, Person A wants to take them to the park just to run around like little kids. Person B doesn't want to, and just wants to sleep/TV/computer etc. Go from there how you will."
I might have exercised a bit of creative freedom. I kinda took the prompt and ran. xD I chose some good old SMS for the characters. The universe is real life and AU but Kurt somehow ended up looking more like the Doctor in my head and the true nature of the universe is revealed in the last bit. So here you go Book. Hope you like SMS and I hope, hope, hope you approve. :)

The noise coming from the form lying underneath the bed covers made Kurt grin. He eased down on the bed and tucked his legs beneath his bottom and leaned against the headboard. He reached out a hand to caress the smooth white temple of the man sleeping, undisturbed so far.
"Zisteau," Kurt whispered to him, and then said again, but louder to wake him. Zisteau rolled over and burrowed his face into the pillow and moved his head away from Kurt's hand.
Kurt's grin set transformed into a thin line. "Zisteau, wake up. Aren't you coming out to see Mars with me?" He glanced over at the clock on the bedside table. The digital face read eleven-fifteen
A barely audible mumble came from Zisteau. Kurt rolled his eyes and scooted down the bed to rest on his elbow and face Zisteau's profile.
"Don't you want to chase me in the dark like you used to? Remember the comet?" he whispered next to Zisteau's ear.
Getting no response, Kurt shook his head and rose up from the bed. He left the bedroom and retrieved his coat from the hall closet. Closing the closet door, he gazed back into the room at Zisteau. Kurt could see his head resting on the pillow back to it's normal position.
He shrugged on his coat with a frown then pulled the bedroom door shut.
Stepping off of the grass of the park where he had watched the sky from, Kurt strolled across the street and looked ahead toward his home.
To his surprise, Zisteau stood tall on the porch. He rested on the hand rail and watched his partner walk to him.
"What are you doing?" Kurt asked him curiously but retained a dubious attitude.
Zisteau offered an apologetic smile. "Just waiting for my astronaut to come back down to Earth."
Kurt stopped short before the first step of the porch. "It's not that I'm distracted, Zisteau. I just..." He trailed off as Zisteau reached out an arm to pull him up the steps.
Then Zisteau trapped Kurt under his arms in a tight embrace. "I know," he softly consoled. "It's OK. I miss those days too." He could feel Kurt sigh into his shoulder as he curled his arm up to stroke his partner's greying hair in a soothing motion. "But, I promise Kurt. I'll make these days count for you," he declared with an iron-like conviction.
