A/n sorry its short, but the next one is extra long to make up for it. I'm going to cut here to make sure there aren't any spoliers.

“Hey, Vechs, it okay, there's no need for that…."

“Yes, there is….. I have to kill Him.”

Rel Rel POV

I grasped wildly, barely stopping the knife half an inch in front of his heart. He struggled against my grip, but malnutrition and lack of sleep had taken its toll on his strength. Eventually, he dropped the knife, the metallic clang of it against the stone floor the only sound loud enough to pierce the deafening silence.  

As the knife rattled down the stairs, Vechs managed to escape my grasp and turn away, facing the wall. Soon another sound filled the void of the entrance to his base. He was sobbing. I sat down and put my arm around him, trying to be comforting despite how awful I felt.       

“Hey, Vechs, it okay, there's no need for that…." I trailed off, doubting the truth of the final statement. He had killed someone, and with the light in his eyes a few seconds ago, I doubted he wouldn't do it again. Just as I was trying to think of a logical counter argument Vechs spoke up.

“Yes, there is….. I have to kill Him.” I didn’t want to think about it, but it confused me. He? Vechs had said that a few times, but I still had no idea what he was talking about. “You don't understand…… He wants you dead. If I don't stop him, He will kill you… you have no idea how strong he is… I’ve been fighting, but it’s a losing battle…. When I lose, I’ll be gone, only he will be left, and when that happens…..” he trailed off, but started moving. I began moving to stop him, until I realized he was turn towards me. Soon, his green-goggled eyes were staring into my pure green ones, and we were both on our knees, facing each other.

“No one will survive.”

How terrible is Vechs's condition? Because it seems that he is suffering from not only malnutrition, but also various amounts of injuries as implied by his attempts to commit suicide last chapter. If his condition is severe enough, Vechs might have to go to the hospital (Which means Hello JSano)...

Honestly, I dont know, and I dont think I will due to the fact that the next segment is so much farther into the future... but you've given me an idea so.... Maybe?
