Down to Chaos - Part 3
Monday, June 2nd, 2014 08:37 pm"Why isn't this beacon shining anymore?" Etho asked himself.
He looked into the beacon control box. "That's still on, and it still is at the settings I last set it."
He then took his shovel out, and dug the dirt up, only to find the beacon still intact.
Etho looks up, and suddenly comes to a realization.
"Is there something high in the sky?"
If it weren't for Guude looking at his cell phone during Minecon 2013, none of this would have happened. But since Guude looked at his cell phone multiple times during the Mindcrack panal during Minecon 2013, while the entire thing was being recorded live for everybody to see, Sethbling created a monument for Guude specifically for that purpose.
It wasn't actually a monument per se, but a giant picture of Guude from Minecon 2013 looking down at his phone can count as one, if looked at the correct spot. Sethbling not only spent nearly four hours building the pixel art itself, he also brought a version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey to the server and livestreamed the entire four hours to a faithful audience of his. At the end of the livestream, he saw that Zisteau was streaming something as well, and to tell his viewers to go check out Zisteau's livestream and write "Pin the phone on the Guude" in the comment section. So the viewers did that, which lead to one of the biggest raids in Twitch history, as well as a number of funny Sethbling interpretations during the livestream, and a new BlingMart on the Mindcrack server, a prank on Sethbling by Zisteau by impersonating Sethbling and saying everything word for word from Sethbling's video when he built his shop.
In four days, Sethbling finished building the game, a game of trying to shoot a flaming arrow at Guude's phone while behind a tower of lava. Unfortunately for Sethbling, the name of the game was really misleading, and Sethbling had named all the arrows to Guude's Phone, so many of the players who joined with him in his game grand reveal shot at Guude himself instead of Guude's Phone. For a group event, this, outside of the first episode and the PvP events on the server, was the biggest group event on the server, with about 12 people participating in total: Sethbling, Guude, JSano, Pause, Avidya. Vechs, Arkas, ZIsteau, BdoubleO, Etho, MCGamer, and Millbee.
It didn't stop there though. Very close to the end of Zisteau's stream, he mentioned that Vechs was streaming and that it was Vechs's first time livestreaming (he was streaming some Mindcrack as well), and that his viewers as well should welcome Vechs to the twitch community and check out on how he is doing. What Zisteau has apparently forgotten, though, was that many of his viewers were Sethbling viewers as well who just came to ZIsteau's livestream just because Sethbling said to do so, so when they came Vechs's twitch, they, once again, launched a raid, this time on poor Vechs. This, plus the fact that many people have announced they just came from Zisteau's livestream, lead Vechs to do the exact same thing on Zisteau that Zisteau did to Sethbling, and Vechs also brought up his test world video of him impersonating Zisteau and played it as well, though only the audio played.
As a result, Vechs believed that Zisteau was the one with the idea of Pin the Phone on the Guude, and his planned co-op with Aureylian was, once again, delayed for two days. This time, the evil mapmaker decided to pull a prank on three people in three different ways. Looking back at Zisteau's videos for inspiration, he came across a video of Zisteau pranking BdoubleO100 and framing Etho with it. So, Vechs decided to take that video, impersonate Zisteau word for word for part of it, and build a giant E on top of the beacon, putting a sign called 1.125 in front of the beacon, and a sign that says .250 on the giant E in the sky. Some differences between Vechs's and Zisteau's pranks were that Zisteau used regular ice, while Vechs used compressed ice, a solid block. The E was also built very high in the sky, close to the build limit, while Zisteau's original build was close to the ground. Finally, the .250 actually means something, because, at a bearing of 50 degrees off of due north, in the distance, is a group of signs of who actually performed the prank on BdoubleO.
Later on, Vechs impersonated Zisteau's imersonation of Sethbling, and with the help of Aureylian, built a "Blingest Mart" at spawn, raiding Zisteau's store of hardened clay for their pink store and, to the annoyance of some people, placed actual sheep inside the glass bowl on the top.
That was only the second of a series of expansions of the BlingMart franchise. Etho, a couple days after Aureylian's build was finished, went over to Zisteau's Arcology, and built a BlingMart at the end of the bridge in front of the nether portal. A BlingMart was found in Deuceopolis, Dalania, Arkasdam, Ethopia, and Guudeland. A BlingMart was built by some people on World 2 of the BTC fan server, as noted by his 9th episode, which he conveniently titled, "BlingMart". One was built right next to the spawn area of World 1 of the BTC fan server, although it disappeared with the map reset, and the HermetCraft server, the ForgeCraft server, the YogsCraft server, the ZipKrowd server, and a number of other famous survival multiplayer servers all received BlingMarts, making Sethbling the most successful entrepreneur, the most successful businessman, the most successful CEO, in MInecraft history.

Note: I used curly brackets, because I can't use the greater than and less than signs.
BdoubleO100 joined the server.
Server: Etho fell from a high place.
{BdoubleO100} What happened?
{Etho} Was pillaring up to check something when I accidentally went right too far and fell to the ground.
{BdoubleO100} I see a dirt pillar here, and some stuff next to it.
{Etho} Yeah, that was mines. Go put them in a chest, since I spawned all the way over at Beef's island castle, and it will take a few minutes for me to get back to you.
-------------------------------------------------
"And, the E Pranker strikes again! Zisteau!" - BdoubleO100 yells as he approaches the giant ice E at 190 meters above sea level. "I should have known that, there was a sign next to the disabled beacon that had the number 1.125 on it."
"Is it really made of ice?" Etho suddenly said.
"Yeah," replied BdoubleO100.
"Then it's going to take a long time to clean it up, and we're going to have a huge waterfall on top of our beacon."
As Etho gets closer to the E as well, he begins to doubt BdoubleO100. "Hey Bdubs, the ice isn't the normal ice. It's the packed ice. Normal ice isn't solid, but packed ice is."
"Well, that explains a lot."
"Also, when you break packed ice, it doesn't turn into water."
"Well that's good."
A pause, before Etho notices another sign, this time on the E itself.
"Wait, why is there a sign here that says .250?"
"I don't know. If I remember correctly, Zisteau's second prank was sticking a trap in the sky and waiting until I trigger it and blow myself up, but there's no TNT up here, just a giant E."
Etho pauses, before finally coming up with an ingenious explanation, "Maybe the sign actually means for you to point to 50." Etho turns on his F3 menu, turns around until he is pointing slightly to the right of due northeast, and points directly at a large sign usually seen in pranks."
BdoubleO100 replies, "Oh." He then further continues, "Go over there and check the signs out, while I finish destroying the E that is turning off our beacon."
Etho makes his way over to the signs, and then began reading it. "Congratulations on being pranked by the E-pranker again, Bdubs. Just Kidding! This was actually a prank on Zisteau, in which I took his original video, and impersonated Zisteau word for word in his video, doing the same actions as Zisteau was doing as well. It just so happened that Zisteau placed an E on top of your beacon. Vechs."
-------------------------------------------------
There are two frequent misconceptions about Vechs. One, that Vechs was born in St. Louis and has always lived in Missouri. And Two, that Vechs still lives in South Carolina. Both statements are wrong. It is true that Vechs used to live in South Carolina when he was younger, but when he was eighteen, he got accepted into, along with the University of South Carolina, the University of Missouri at St. Louis, and for his undergraduate studies, he decided to travel over to the University of MIssouri instead of the much closer University of South Carolina.
At the University of Missouri, Vechs began to work for a degree in Media Arts and Computer Programming, and after completing two years at the University of Missouri, he decided to stay and aim for a BA in Media Arts, receiving it towards the end of his four year stay at the University of Missouri. He also met a number of other friends that feature prominently in his life, including a future Mindcracker at that time. In fact, it was Vechs who suggested for that person to be inducted into Mindcrack. He also met his future wife there as well, a redheaded girl, one year his younger, who also lives in St. Louis as well...
He looked into the beacon control box. "That's still on, and it still is at the settings I last set it."
He then took his shovel out, and dug the dirt up, only to find the beacon still intact.

Date: Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 03:35 am (UTC)Also, for this chapter specifically, you spent too much time/space/wording recapping the Pin the Phone on Guude events just for the sake of the BlingMart franchise joke, which doesn't even seem to be related to anything else.
Aside from those things, I'm liking the series. The story's good, even if it is often broken up by the constant cuts and jumps.

Date: Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014 03:56 am (UTC)The two sections in the middle are scenes from a video that Bdubs and Etho are collaborating on, one from the chat text, and the other one is the dialogue from the video itself.
I will try to fix the jumping around too much, and I might reorder some of the passages around when I get far enough for the sake of chronological order, because, for example, in my last chapter, there was something written that happened early July of 2014, immediately followed by an event that took place in late May of 2014.
Thanks for the feedback
