Yay, more Kid!Pause and Kid!Etho, in which they go camping, eat S'mores, and have a sweet moment before going to bed. Hope you guys enjoy, and maybe next story will be a bit more of a 'shippy' thing... maybe. I still have no idea what pairing to write. (._.)

"We're going camping~! We're going camping~!"
Pause's sing-song voice echoing off the trees was almost enough to give Etho a headache, almost.
"Do you even know what we're in store for? We have to cook our own food, set up a tent, not get eaten alive by mosquitoes, and most importantly, not die."
Etho's words didn't even faze his little brother's happy-go-lucky face, "Don't worry, we wont even be that far from our house, I have a cellphone in emergency situations, and I brought marshmallows."
"Marshmallows...? What dose that have to do with anything?"
"Duh, we can make S'mores!" Pause grinned and picked up his pace a little, seeing the campsite clearing ahead. All Etho could do was shake his head and smile along with his brother, Pause always said the weirdest things. Etho glanced up at the sky, the burning hot sun was right in the middle of the sky, telling him they would have about nine hours before it would get too dark to see anything.
"Hey E, ya coming or what?" Pause yelled over to him from the clearing where they planed to set up their tent.
Etho made a face before jogging over to where his brother had dropped his pack and was searching for the tent. "Did you just call me E?"
Pause looked up from his bag, un-assembled tent in hand, and smiled at his older brother, "Why, do you not like it?"
Etho knew instantly what Pause was trying to do, if he said he didn't like the nickname, Pause would continue calling him that just to annoy him. Instead, Etho just shrugged, "I don't mind it, I just thought my name was short enough to not need a nickname."
Pause's smile grew wider, "M'kay,... E."
Etho's eyes narrowed, 'Well, there goes that idea of reverse psychology.'
Pause had made his way over to the center of the campsite and was starting to unzip the bag the tent came in. "Is here a good spot for the tent?" he asked his older brother.
Etho nodded before setting his own backpack down and opening it up. He pulled out a mess kit and a cooler, which had their lunch and a few other things in it. He then walked over to the fire-pit, a few feet away from where Pause had the half-finished tent set up, and set the two items next to it.
"I'm gonna go collect firewood, yell if you need anything." he told Pause. Pause only nodded, staring at the instruction book for the tent. Etho just hopped he wouldn't poke his eye out with one of the stakes. Etho walked back the way him and Pause had come from, eyes on the ground in search of pieces of dry wood. While keeping his eyes on the ground, Etho didn't happen to notice a very low hanging branch, until he walked right smack into it. Surprised by the sudden impact of tree branches in his face, Etho stumbled backwards over his own two feet and fell down on his butt. Etho grumbled to himself, rubbing his forehead where it had made contact with the tree branch. Not only was he hot and bothered, but he now happened to be in pain too. He sighed before picking himself up off the ground, careful to avoid the branch, and continued his search for firewood.
When Etho had more then enough firewood to last throughout the night, he returned back to camp to find a proud Pause and a completed tent. Pause's grin fell though when he noticed the red mark on his brother's forehead.
"Hey, you ok? What did you do to your head?" Pause asked, his voice filled with concern.
Etho dropped all the firewood off next to the fire pit before shrugging in response to his younger brother's question, "Wasn't watching where I was going and bumped my head on a low hanging branch, nothing to make a big fuss over."
Pause could here the slightly angry undertone in his brother's voice, but he couldn't blame him. It was way too hot outside.
"Here," Pause said, walking over to where he put his backpack, "I packed a few extra bottles of water, they should still be a little bit cold." He took one out and tossed it to Etho, who caught it expertly with one hand. He quickly uncapped it and chugged down about half the bottle in one gulp.
"Thanks Pause," he said, capping the bottle again and placing the bottom of it against the red mark on his forehead, to try and cool it down, "let's go sit in the shade and eat the sandwiches Mom packed us." Pause nodded and walked over to where Etho had left the cooler. He opened it up and grabbed the two turkey, ham, and cheese sandwiches. Then both brothers went looking for a suitable spot to enjoy their lunch. Finally, Pause found a nice grassy area that was plenty shaded and was still in sight of their camp. Both boys sat down and began eating the sandwiches, enjoying the sounds that the birds were making and the occasional breeze that would come through and cool them off.
"Peaceful, isn't it?" Etho asked, closing his eyes in contentment.
Pause nodded, "It sure is, told you this was a great idea."
A small smile tugged at the corners of the older brother's lips, "We should probably head back to camp before I fall asleep here." Etho could hear Pause chuckle and he opened his eyes again.
"Common then, sleepy head, let's go." Pause said, getting up off the grassy floor. He extended a hand out to Etho, who gladly took it, and hoisted him up and onto his feet.
"We should go organize all our stuff." Etho said, stretching out his arms a little bit and trying to wake himself up.
Pause nodded, "Yeah, let's go, after that we can make S'mores!"

The sun had just began to set and was turning the sky into a brilliant pinkish-orange color. The two brothers were sitting in front of the campfire, roasting marshmallows and listening to the crackling of the fire. Chocolate and graham crackers, both brought by Pause, were also sitting out, waiting to be turned it to a sticky, gooey sandwich along with the marshmallow. When both brothers had stuffed their tummies full of chocolate and marshmallows, and the sun had just set, they sat in a content silence for a bit longer until Pause spoke up.
"Etho, look!" Etho's eyes followed Pause's finger to see what he was pointing at. A group of fireflies had started taking off and were flying higher into the skies.
Etho smiled, "Do you remember when we were little and we tried to catch fireflies in a jar because we thought they were fallen stars."
Pause chuckled at the memory, "Yeah, and we told Mom we wanted to fly up into space so we could put them back."
The brothers both sighed, their minds filled with happy memories. "We should probably go to bed now," Etho said, standing up. Pause nodded and followed suit. Both boys made their way into the tent and into their sleeping bags.
"Goodnight Etho." Pause said before he closed his eyes, already drifting off to sleep.
Etho smiled before closing his eyes as well, "Goodnight Pause, sweet dreams."
