To whom it may concern,

The only way to attain peace for Minecraftia is to go to war. At least that's what they told us.

And I believed them, until I saw twenty members of the patrol I led, the squad I trusted with my life, taken out by a simple surprise Creeper ambush. Now I don't believe in much of anything anymore.

We're getting a new shipment of freshfaces and I got a promotion to Sergeant. Hopefully I don't fuck up as badly as I did last time.

I'm not sure I can trust myself to be a Sergeant. I'm not sure I can trust myself period.

It's raining now and I'm starting to think that it always rains on M-Company. Delayed the freshfaces' deployment too, that's a shame. I hope they can work just as good as the last men we had.

For their sake, I hope they can do better.

this is a military au, with a heavy focus on the bonds they form. the main fic will be gen, though any oneshots i write will have shipping in it. i'll answer any questions you guys have, hopefully you enjoy this as much as i enjoy writing it.

as far as the college au goes, i'm putting that on a shelf because military aus are much more interesting, both to read and to write.

this may also get nsfw, for violence. an appropriate trigger will be placed if that does happen.

all vs. universal enemy, though the focus is less on the war and fighting, then on the relations between the guys. though there will be some fight scenes, it's mostly about how they manage to grow close.

the timeline of the fic is from the drop of the new guys to the end of the war but all of them making it is not guaranteed.
