mindcrackloveSo, the next chapter! Yes... I know how slowly these are coming out. But they'll come out faster, soon... (I hope). I'd just like to mention some things. First of all, you may think that I focus on certain characters more. I write, based on who would do what, and I also write based on how familiar I am with the person in question. I write Etho a lot more than I do of Mhykol, for example. The reason is simply because I know HOW to write them more. Ok, wall of text aside, let's do this!
Doc felt his feet thud against the ground. Picking up the pace, he gestured for everyone to hurry. Everyone who wasn’t in the square was nearby. He could hear the sound of sword against sword. He just hoped he could help.
Tom teleported into the square, appearing behind a skeleton, stabbing into it. He saw Etho fall, and instantly teleported towards him, picking up the offending skeleton and throwing it. It flew into a group of other skeletons, knocking them all over. His eyes narrowed, as he prepared to defend.
“Just try me.” He snarled to the nearby skeletons.
Dinnerbone, High Priest of the Church of Notch, sensed a portal opening in the town of Mindcrack. He had been headed towards there, anyway, so he picked up the pace. He stopped, concentrated for a moment, and levitated in the air, flying towards the town. He turned himself upside-down, also.
Hawser saw the flying figure, and recognised it because it was upside-down.
“It’s Dinnerbone!” She yelled, turning herself invisible. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her. She controlled Doc’s robotic arm, forcing it into a new shape. When she was done, Doc had a sword built into his arm, that he could retract at any time. She grinned, taking her bow into her hands.
Squid heard Hawser’s shout as she turned invisible, and Squid stabbed from side to side, hoping Dinnerbone would hurry up. Everyone knew he had many powers, and could greatly influence the battle. She shot out with her sword, taking a skeleton in the throat.
Pause shot an arrow, Beef by his side. The two waded into the skeletons, determined to protect their fellow Canadian… Even if they didn’t know what it meant, fully. Etho’s family had always called themselves Canadian, and Pause and Beef had thought of themselves as Canadians when they had come through. Pause dispelled the thoughts from his mind, fighting on.
Becky teleported towards Etho and Nebris, as most people were. They were popular figures, and some of the only ones to have fallen. Suddenly, she ran into Jiminee, literally. She saw that Jiminee was hard pressed, and stayed near her, protecting her from harm.
Dinnerbone swooped down from the air, expelling a psychic blow towards the fray. It impacted on a group of skeletons, sending them in all directions. But there was a terrifying amount.
“Notch, help me,” he muttered, in fear.
Suddenly, Guude felt a wrenching in his soul. He knew that one of his turtles had been hurt, and badly. He yelled in anger.
“Touch my turtles, would ya? Bad guy!” He summoned his turtles toward him, noting that Wilson, the unofficial leader, had been cut badly. Guude sent Huey, Dewey and Louie forwards, protecting each-other.
Doc stabbed with his arm-sword, feeling it slice into the skeleton’s arm. He ran over to Guude, and, retracting his arm-sword, put his hand on Wilson and healed him. While he still couldn’t fight, he would live, at least. Doc nodded to Guude, and ran off again, to heal and fight. This fight wasn’t over, yet.
Lioness dodged to the side, clawing at the skeletons. They seemed to have never seen an Anthro Lioness before, and feared her for that reason. She mentally shrugged, turning her attention back to the fighting.
Elfy blasted the area around her with fire, manipulating it like it was air. She solidified it, grabbing the arm of a skeleton and tearing it off. She made her way over to Lioness.
“Nice claws, kitty! You might want to move. I’ve heard that cats don’t like water, but I doubt they’d like fire any more so!” She yelled, sending a burst of solid fire flying past Lioness into one of the skeletons. Lioness sighed, in return.
Dinnerbone stepped back, letting a sword miss him by centimetres. He quickly used his powers to rise up above the battlefield. From above, he started raining psychic blows down upon the skeletons, wondering why he had not done so earlier. Suddenly, he sensed it. The portal, where the skeletons were coming from. It was located, to his extreme surprise, in the village centre. It was hidden behind a wall of wood. He summoned a fireball and launched it towards the wall, blasting it open and showing the purple of the portal behind.
Vechs jumped away from the explosion. The wall he had been leaning on, before, had shattered, revealing a dark purple glow behind. He saw Dinnerbone, and sighed in relief. Dinnerbunny, as the itinerant goggled ‘map-maker’ (Though, he had no idea what he meant by that), called the High Priest, was here to play.
Doc ran forwards, and, trusting that he would be protected, placed his hands on both Etho and Nebris, sending his healing powers forth. Slowly, they healed. Etho opened his eyes slowly. His voice was groggy, and he sounded exhausted.
“D-Doc?” He asked, too exhausted to say any more. Doc nodded, and made a ‘sh’ sound. Etho closed his eyes, and his body sent him to sleep.
Dinnerbone swept down towards the portal, sending psychic blows in all directions. He saw Vechs next to the portal, and changed his course to land in front of Vechs.
“Let’s close down this portal, shall we?” Dinnerbone asked of Vechs.
“Any day, Dinnerbunny!” Vechs grinned in return. The two turned to the portal, Vechs creating water inside its frame, Dinnerbone sending blows of psychic energy towards it. With a shudder, it collapsed, and the endless skeletons slowed down, as one. It seemed that proximity to a portal increased their strength.
Marcus shot off another bolt of fire, and was surprised to see it completely disintegrate the skeleton. She did not question why they had lost their fire-immunity, but was grateful. The groups made short work of the skeletons that remained.
“Well, THAT was unexpected.” Guude voiced what they were all thinking. Dinnerbone stepped forwards, clearing his voice.
“Thank you, Guude, for pointing out the obvious. My question is an obvious one, too. Where did that portal come from?” Dinnerbone asked of the members of both towns.
Ok, so, I added our favourite Dinnerbunny. I'd just like to make a list of his abilities:
He has telekinetic abilities. Quite powerful.
He has the ability to fly. The flying is the flying from creative.
He also has the ability to gain power from Notch, because Notch is a god here. So, yeah.
