So, the big thing on the YouTubes appears to be Feed the Beast nowadays. Our favorite Mindcrackers and our favorite Hermits, as well as our favorite Others, are hard at work exploring all the lovely things that these new worlds have to offer us. For those of you not keeping up, so far we've seen collaborative videos from tons of people (links to their first episode): Guude, Pause, Beef, Baj, Millbee, Doc, Bdubs, GenerikB and Nebris on the Feed the Mindcrack Server; Avidya, Juicetra, JoeHills, and I'm sure other people I'm not subscribed to on the Topmass.net Server Sponsored By Joe Hills, and of course Avidya and Coestar have their own "Coe-op" of the mod pack. Whew, all those links! And there are plenty of other people playing who aren't recording, too!
So, what are everyone's feelings on all this Feeding of Beasts? I think it has the potential to lead to some great pranking, some great cooperative efforts, and some great footage. Sometimes it's a bit frustrating to watch them herp around over things I know, but it's generally pretty fun, and they're all getting better as time goes on. A few people have struck out on their own a few times, but in a world with so much to learn it seems like it would be so much more fun to have friends. It is overwhelming at times, though, I bet!
What are everyone's thoughts?

Date: Sunday, November 18th, 2012 08:39 pm (UTC)It'd be really cool if somehow they could link the chats of the two together, so if Etho said something on the regular Mindcrack server, it'd still show up on FTB. I wonder if that's possible.
Also, haven't watched the B-Team's version, but now I might have to to see his reaction to the Nancy Drew house.... :/

Alright, about 44 minutes in, just as Nebs exists the area, I'd link the time directly but I have no idea how to do such a thing.

Date: Sunday, November 18th, 2012 10:09 pm (UTC)I hate being so speculatey, but I do wonder if he's sad about ND having their own thing. I mean, maybe the whole B-Team thing stemmed out of not being included in ND stuff for so long, despite being "Guude's boyfriend" and living with him. I never thought about it like that, and I'm sure I'm over thinking it, but I wonder if any of that sort of came about subconsciously...
It's always been sort of weird to me that Bdubs wasn't a part of that. I know the podcast is open to whoever is on, as well, but I think it's also really weird that Bdubs has never been a guest...

Date: Sunday, November 18th, 2012 10:30 pm (UTC)But yeah, it really does make me wonder. I feel like Minecon is some giant looming Event that is going to Change Stuff. Like, it's a kettle about to boil over or something. And I'm really hoping it'll boil over in favor of everyone. I'm hoping in person it will be a great time and they'll have fun and reconnect like old times, and Guude will come home and get a nanny to watch his daughter for a few hours in the morning and let him sleep/record at times other guys are on, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed for such things as these!

Date: Sunday, November 18th, 2012 09:29 pm (UTC)I feel no compulsion to watch everything the way I feel about the Mindcrack server proper (thank heavens), but the sense of newness and vastness is pretty cool.

Date: Sunday, November 18th, 2012 10:57 pm (UTC)But I loved the Nancy Drew parts where they're all running around starving and Pause is planting rubber trees instead of getting food and everyone is critiquing Guude's ugly little house, etc. So, in terms of just watching for fun interaction it's nice, but so far I don't have a lot of interest in the HUGE EXPANSION!!!! of it yet. I think there are probably aspects of it that would intrigue me, but I'm not seeing them yet.
