Isi's Mindcrack Mod Adventures, Part 24

Last time we constructed a pretty minimal BdoubleO house. It's time to do him a little more justice and put some finer touches on it, then start a new house for someone else.




Changes so far: did the grassy roof, changed the shrubs a bit and hid pumpkins to cut down on torch use, and moved Guude's pen over.



Side view. I added a back porch after all. The video design used cobblestone walls, but all I've got to work with is regular fences. It works.



I also added a few things inside just so it wouldn't look so bare.



Oh, and I'll suppose I'll bonemeal the front too. Not a very wide area, though, since I've spent a lot of effort taking out all the grass that was naturally in this area. It's too much clutter.



But I'm ready to start a new project, and I've already got someone in mind. MC Gamer style house, coming right up!



Lots of windows, spruce floor, spruce logs for the corners... I did have to go with regular wood for the slab roof, and I still can't do colored stairs for under the windows. But he still needs a sign.



We'll make an exception for the shoes, though.



Oh, something else I wanted to do is incorporate the special drops into each of the builds somehow. Here I'm at BdoubleO's place where I already put a chest, and move the stone swords that I got when I went on my killing spree.



And lapis from the MCs. I guess I should specify that the lapis I used in the house was stuff I actually mined. These two blocks here are so far the only blocks I've gotten from MC-ocide.



Starting to look nice around here! The only other guy I've built for so far is Kurt, who is, appropriately enough, off on his own, not in view. We've got to give him a chest for his bones later.



I happened to notice that an SBK had somehow gotten loose and was wandering the breeding pens. This was strange. He's not even in a corner pen, but he shares a wall with MC's pen. When I was minecarting an MC out, an SBK appeared to glitch through the wall for a moment. But that still doesn't explain how he got out here.



Everything appears to be in order. I have the fences so they can't just walk out... Well, I guess the rogue has to die. I'll show you to try to escape.



And like a true evil dictator, I munch on his dropped cookie in front of them.

Anyway, where were we?



Ah yes, Kurt still needs a chest for his drop. He doesn't typically use chests in Far Lands or Bust, but I stick one where he sometimes puts a crafting table.

It looks like the pink sheep's ready to take a nap. How amusing.

So, recap. I've built for four guys so far, and of them, have special drops from all but Guude, but I've got ~special plans~ for that one that I'm not ready to execute yet. Next time I'll probably start a new build. I've gotten a bit more comfortable building stuff, so maybe I'll step things up a little, like attempt something for either Nebris or Zisteau. Oh good luck with Zisteau, I have no idea how you'd condense one of his builds. Hm, you could try building a glass dome and cover the floor with...what was it now...wooden pressure plates, and have a step down storage system there? That was his first real build in Kaizo I think, it might have been his room for a while. It's been so long since I watched it but I'll forever remember that last ghast area XD

Ahaha, the ghast area. I'll forever remember the roller coaster myself.

There was someone who already did a miniature of the Lens. I wanted to go for something like that.

And that, I remember the mini Lens, forgot though. Totally works :D

I'd probably personally be super cheap/simple and do a semicircle out of sandstone, then use the Advanced Lighting Technique on the flat side. But that's badass too! *_*
