Ongoing thoughts.

- Those mobs did seem glitchy. What was the ghast firing at when they were above ground? Dang glitchy mobs.
- Beef is doing a lot of singing.
- "It just got sexual." "Ew." XD
- "This is the nost ridiculous chicken to punch!"
- Cheaty Pause!
- What is it with accidentally hitting people in the face? XD

I miss them playing like this. It's weird because this feels SO long ago, but it's recent enough that mobs drop iron helmets and things, and is after UHC S4, I think. My sense of time is so skewed when it comes to YouTube stuff. It's like real life operates in the sped-up Minecraft time too, sometimes. These episodes came out in May. That's 6-7 months ago! How have things changed so much since then!

Things I've noticed so far:

- Pause is surprised Beef has no qualms with killing cows, obviously left over from playing with Millbee who does have qualms with killing sheep. It's a really minor thing, but I think it's interesting in terms of characterization between the two. (And the fact that Pause apparently respects Millbee's preference to not kill sheep.)

- Beef is making more sexual jokes/flirting, and Pause is the one going "Ew."

- Pause "I got overzealous. Man, I only talk like this around you. When do I ever use 'overzealous' in real life? Never." This is just cute. Is he trying to impress Beef? IDK. But it's cute.

- Beef: "You okay there buddy? You sound a little.. perturbed." As if this is another Big Word for Pause to learn, ahahaha.

- "I'll never forgive you, but I'm fine." Ha.

Not an especially shippy series so far, but they are adorable together. I really do wonder why they don't do as much together. Do you guys think it's just a lack of maps to play, or is there something underlying?

That's an interesting observation about Beef and cows compared to Millbee and sheep. But it makes so much sense with Beef's character of being giving and concerned for the well being of others that he'd rather they benefit from killing cows over keeping whatever pride he has connected with others of "his kind." Though there may also be a disconnect since Beef is not literally a cow, whereas Millbee is a sheep.

Good point, I mean Beef is a butcher in a bloodstained apron after all. Maybe the pride of 'his kind' is more of that of a farmer with a well looked-after herd.

It's adorable how well they know each other and how comfortable they are together. <3

I don't think it's necessarily lack of maps, but I do think they might have gone off CTMs at least. Plus they've both been doing a lot of non-minecraft. They have done a fair bit together as part of Team Nancy Drew. Pause with his big heart on his sleeve still talks about Beef the same way.

It feels completely different to what's going on with OOG.

I agree it feels completely different than what's going on with OOG, and they are doing non-Minecraft things which helps (but most of which I don't watch, so it still feels sort of like they're not doing stuff together, my own fault I know). But it does still feel a bit like they're growing apart.

With their amazement at the difficulty of the dungeons and their haphazard approach to tackling them, I kind of miss the Zistonian method of Super Hostile: lava all the things. They have iron now, and they've seen lava pools, but they haven't yet put the two together. I hope they do. I love seeing lava used offensively.
