mindcracklove | Kurt, Beef and cars

So this tweet exchange just happened. Such is the state of my mind that it gave me feels. Beef and Kurt are two of my favs and they so rarely interact. Now I'm just wishing they lived close enough that Beef could come over and help Kurt with his car.

(Also of interest is that Pause just tweeted that he and Juicetra were hanging out IRL... Shall we open a betting pool counting down the number of days until Juice joins Mindcrack?)

Fairly sure Zisteau has done that already. I can only imagine the kind of insanity that woul occur from the pair of them teaming up to take on Team Canada. Even without lava & TNT I'm pretty sure tears would be shed by the victims.

I want to see this in action. I want this Zisteau/Vechs prank team up, with Zisteau being an effective replacement for world edit mods. I want this because of reasons. :D

Vechs reached for the PDA on his belt, fully intending to call down an inventory full of silverfish blocks to fill the Canadian's castle with. It was a bit of a disappointment to discover it was gone. Damn Guude and his laws.

He sighed and turned to Zisteau. "Well my plan's out."

Zisteau just grinned and kicked aside part of the hillside to reveal one of his many, many hidden caches of items. "I guess we'll be following my plan then."

Their laughter could be heard echoing around the hills for several hours after...

Also, the PDA makes me wonder: is Vechs' skin just a generic engineer, or is it specifically the red Engie from Team Fortress?

-headcannon ahoy- I mentally combined the PDA from the engineer in TF2 with the MC Edit, so like the engineer he can use that to change his surroundings only on a much vaster scale. In terms of looks, he probably just wears the clothes and his actual look is probably that of tall, average build guy but he probably looks a little sneakier than he really should, probably because he's always plotting something...

A Vechs and Zisteau team up on the Mindcrack server would be epic!!

I'd be all for Vechs joining, though I don't get the impression that motions are being made toward that end, whereas I feel like Bdubs is kidn of actively campaigning (without actually saying as much) to get Juice added.

I am glad to know I am not the only one having feels. They were unexpected for me, as well. I've never really considered Kurt/Beef, and we all know I'm kind of on a Beef/Guude kick. But, I dunno, there's just something about it. I've been trying to mentally dissect it. It's sexy to see a guy who knows stuff offer help to someone without being condescending. And I think it's also really attractive (though not in a sexy way, necessarily) to see a really smart guy (Kurt) who is willing to admit that he doesn't know how something works, and who is willing and gracious to accept help from someone who does. So it works together really well--like this unexpected meshing, and underlying gratitude from Kurt that Beef could fix the problem so effortlessly, and a pleasure for Beef for being able to help... IDK.

Yes, I think you got it there. I almost don't want to think too much about it, since I'm the one writing the Guude/Beef fic, and Kurt/Zisteau is practically everyone's OTP around here. I couldn't possibly get in the way of that.

While I might adore Kurt/Zisteau as my favourite ship, I am a huge fan of shipping all the things every which way. If its shipable, then I'll ship it.

Yes, me too. I have ships I may prefer over others, or ones I may like less, but I'm all for shipping everything every which way anyone so desires. I've seen too many communities shut down or even torn apart by big bully shippers "shutting down" the exploration of smaller ships, and I would really hate to see that happen her. Zisteau/Kurt or Bdubs/Guude or Pause/Beef or whatever may be the "main" ships or the "big" ships or even the "canon" ships, but if someone wants to ship Doc/Just_defy or whatever unusual thing, I'm all for it. I may not like it or want to read it, but shipping Kurt/Beef doesn't invalidate Beef/Pause or Kurt/Zisteau (or any other pairing), so I'm fine with that. Hopefully the rest of the community is, too. It's all just fun story telling and I want everyone to feel free to explore any story idea that strikes their fancy.

This comment has been batting around in my head all day and I just made a reply to

guiltyshirts lower on the thread I'd like you to read, as well. Basically though it's that in no way do I feel that shipping Beef/Kurt "gets in the way" of Kurt/Zisteau or any other pairing and I'd hate to see this become a community where people felt they couldn't explore other shipping dynamics because it might go against the "main pairings" or something.

Which isn't to say I expect everyone to start shipping Kurt/Beef or something. Just that I'd like to think that even if we have our favorites, we're all open to the idea of other pairings and ideas and stories.

Oh, I wasn't actually worried of offending shippers of more "accepted" pairings. It was more of a personal thing than anything, but I do agree with you. If people want to ship a less conventional pairing, I'm all for it. Do whatever makes you happy.

Also can't wait 'till Juice joins. Then team...Borderlands 2 guys? (Kurt, Bdubs, Genny and Juice) can play some SMP together. Really wish they had some sort of an offical name.
