Here is chapter two of this thing, kind left you guys hanging last chapter :3 Don't kill me!
Vechs woke up the next morning around what seemed like 5. He rubbed his sleepy eyes before sitting up on the bed. Vechs breathed in deeply as he started to become more aware of his surroundings. He realised he wasn't in his own room. Vechs smiled, remembering the previous day. He snapped on his green goggles and stood up from Nebris' bed.
Vechs crept into the hallway, thinking Nebris must still be asleep. He tried to be as silent as he could whenever he opened the door to the living room. "Morning Vechs," Nebris said quietly. Vechs walked slowly into the room, confused as to why Nebris was being quiet, because in Vechs' mind Nebris is quite the opposite.
Vechs glanced towards the couch, where Etho was wrapped in Nebris' jacket, sound asleep. Vechs couldn't hide the smirk on his face. Nebris realised what Vechs was about to do. "Vechs I swear if you-" "ETTTTTTHHHHHHHHOOOOOO," Vechs shouted as loud as he could.
Etho jolted up. Before him stood Vechs with a large smirk on his face, and Nebris sitting in a chair, engrossed in his book. "Morning," Nebris said without looking up from his book. Vechs giggled. Etho jumped up from the couch and charged at Vechs, pinning him to a wall. "Wake me up again and I'll-" Etho's words where cut off by another of Vechs' giggles. "What is so funny?" Etho demanded. Vechs pointed down and giggled again. Etho looked down and saw that he was wearing Nebris' jacket. His face reddened as he released his grip on Vechs. Etho took of the jacket as fast as he could.
Etho turned to face Nebris, then threw the jacket at him. The jacket bounced off of Nebris as if a force field were there. "You're a coward Nebris! You know that?" Etho shouted towards him. Nebris calmly closed his book. He stood up and walked over to Etho gracefully. Vechs noticed there was an unnatural shimmer around Nebris. "I am many things, but a coward is not one of them," Nebris said in such a cold tone, Vechs felt shivers run down his spine. Nebris smiled, quickly pulling Etho into a hug. Etho fought at first, but Nebris whispered something in his ear that Vechs couldn't quite make out, and Etho quickly stopped fighting.
Vechs cleared his throat, letting the two know he was still there. Nebris' lips touched Etho's cheek as he pulled away. Nebris smiled towards Vechs. "Hungry?" Nebris asked as he walked into the kitchen. In the kitchen, Nebris quickly poured milk for all three of them while the waffles he had already put in the oven baked. He passed a glass to Vechs first, then slowly gave Etho a glass. Etho took a drink of the milk and immediately spit it out. "Nebris! You didn't put the syrup in it! I don't like milk without syrup!" Etho whined. Nebris rolled his eyes, but turned around and grabbed a bottle of syrup he had placed on the counter. Vechs watched in awe as Nebris dropped a single drop into Etho's milk and stirred it in, sliding the milk over to Etho.
Etho finished his milk/syrup/whatever you want to call it, before the waffles were finished. He gave Nebris a puppy look and asked for more. Nebris shook his head and chuckled. "You are a true Canadian, aren't you?" Etho took that as a no and pouted until the waffles were done. Vechs was amazed at Nebris' cooking skills as he put a bite of crispy, golden waffle in his mouth. Nebris smirked at Etho, who was less pouty but kept cursing him under his breath. "How much did you sleep last night Nebris?" Vechs asked, because whenever he walked into the living room that morning, Nebris seemed wide awake. "I don't 'sleep', I rest. I hate the feeling of being unarmed for more than five minutes," Nebris said as if it were obvious.
After breakfast, Nebris made contact with Guude and said he couldn't make it today, he was busy. Vechs heard Guude sigh, then hang up. "I'm bored Nebris! Let's go to spawn town," Etho said. Nebris sighed, then said, "Fine, we can go." He turned towards Vechs. "Want to come?" Nebris asked. "Sure," Vechs replied, also bored of watching Etho watch Nebris read his book. They all went outside and Nebris mounted his horse. Etho smiled. "Bet I can beat you to spawn town!" Etho said extremely cocky. Nebris chuckled. "Go!" And with that they both raced off, leaving Vechs behind.
Vechs was out of breath when he finally reached the two who were underneath a tree, arguing about who won. "Blunderlust is the fastest horse I own, you couldn't have beaten her!" Nebris insisted. Etho rolled his eyes. Nebris seemed to be drinking something that looked like tea. Vechs giggle at the two. Etho looked up at him. Etho hated Vechs giggle almost as much as he hated Nebris' smirk. Etho stood up quickly. "Do you want to die?" Etho asked in a threatening tone. There was a deep chuckle from below him. Etho looked down to see Nebris smirking towards him. "I'll kill you too," Etho said. "No you won't," Nebris said, continuing to smirk. Nebris sipped his beverage.
Nebris slowly stood up and walked towards the center of spawn. Etho quickly followed him. "Where in the hell are you going?" Vechs asked. Seeing as Vechs was already frustrated with the two for leaving him behind, he was angry whenever he was forced to trail after them again. Vechs walked towards Nebris, whenever he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. He shouted at the pain.
Nebris quickly spun around whenever he heard Vechs shout. Nebris saw an unfamiliar person standing behind where Vechs had fallen. Nebris drew his sword. "Who the hell are you and who the hell do you think you are?" He shouted. He heard something he had never heard his voice before. It wasn't fear, he had heard that many times when facing Etho in battle. Nebris glanced to Etho, who seemed to be in shock. "Did you just sass the person who knocked out Vechs?" Etho asked Nebris. Nebris smiled. "Yes I did," Nebris said confidently, then looked back over to the stranger. "Now answer my damn question!" The stranger dropped his sword. "You're-" " Who are you was my question, not who am I!" Nebris shouted. Fear was clearly in the strangers eyes. "I-I-I'm S-S-Seth," The stranger stuttered. "Please don't hurt me Nebris!" Seth dropped to his knees. Nebris chuckled. "Get up," He said. Etho stared in disbelief. "Seth?" Etho asked.
Etho didn't recognize his red stone buddy. Seth smiled at him. "Hello Etho, I see why you talk of him so much," he said gesturing towards Nebris, "He is quite charming, isn't he? His indigo eyes add to his attractive features. I now understand why you turned me down so many times."
Nebris frowned, and for a second he felt doubt in his heart. Was this Seth person trying to distract him? Did he want Nebris to feel so flattered he lowered his sword? Seth noticed Nebris' frown for the second it was there. "You haven't told him? I would have thought you would have bragged about how loyal you were to him while he was gone," Seth said looking into Etho's eyes.
~Flash back time~
Seth had always liked Etho. He always struck Seth as useful. But there were rumours of him and another man, who's name Seth didn't know at the time. He decided to befriend Etho, and then whenever him and this other man stopped seeing each other, he would be able to start seeing Etho himself. One night when Seth had brought alcohol to one of their red stone meetings, Etho drunk a little to much and started talking about the man.
"I heard you were in a relationship, Etho," Seth said that night. Etho shook his head. "I wouldn't call it a relationship." "Mind if I ask what his name is?" Seth asked, wanting to know so he could stop the affair soon. Seth expected Doc's or Beef's name to come out of the ninja's mouth. "Nebris," Etho replied calmly. Seth was shocked. Nebris had a reputation of cheating on the server. Stealing all the glowstone. Beef and Guude would make jokes about Nebris. "Where is all the glowstone?" Beef would ask Guude in a silly voice. "Nebris has it!" Guude would say back. Then the two of them would laugh until their sides hurt. "Why wouldn't you call it a relationship?" Seth asked Etho. "Because we always want control of each other, then we fight, he leaves, I break things, then it just repeats," Etho said as he put his drink down. Seth had dropped the subject in order to not seem suspicious.
Seth had received a call from Etho one night. Etho had been crying, Seth could tell by his uneven breath. Seth rushed over to comfort Etho. Etho had opened the door with tear stained cheeks. Etho pulled Seth inside. "Did you see Nebris?" Etho said in a scared tone. Seth shook his head. Etho slid down the wall and started to cry. Seth kneeled next to him. "What happened Etho?" Etho explained the fight, crying all the time he was telling it. "He'll come back," Seth said. Etho shook his head, still in tears. "Not this time."
Seth called everyday for a month to make sure Nebris hadn't returned. After a month, Seth decided to take Etho for himself. He knocked on Etho's door. Etho answered, and as soon as he did Seth kissed him. Etho pulled away stunned. "Etho I want you to be mine," Seth had begged. "No! Nebris will come back, and when he does I'll greet him with my love. I can't do that if I'm with you," Etho shouted then slammed the door shut.
Another month passed, Nebris was no longer joked about between Guude and Beef, Etho stayed isolated, and the death games were built in his memory. Everyone was said, having lost a friend. Except for Seth. Seth was angry Etho had turned him down for someone who was never coming back. Seth and Etho stayed in touch, but Etho never could speak to him the same way. Three more months past and everything seemed to have flipped, like Nebris never existed. Except Etho. Etho was more depressed by the day.
One day, Seth was walking through spawn whenever he heard Guude scream with excitement from inside the death games building. He crouched next to the wall, eavesdropping. "Is it really you?" Guude said. "Yes," A deeper, more raspy voice had said. "Everyone will be so glad!" Guude shouted. "You can't tell anyone," the voice said. "Why?" Guude whined. "You know why!" The voice said. "Fine," Guude said pouting. Guude walked out of the death games building with a frown on his face. Seth looked in, but the person was gone.
Later that evening, Seth saw a figure talking to Beef. Beef looked extremely happy. The figure was medium height, dressed in a purple shirt and black slacks. Seth hid behind a tree. There seemed to be a sort of magic in the air around this person. The person shrugged, then handed Beef a diamond. Beef frowned, then took the diamond. The person turned the ender pearled away. Right before he ender pearled away, Seth saw indigo eyes on this person.
Seth imminently realised the direction the person had ender pearled. He was going towards Etho's base. Seth called Etho. "Hello," Etho's voice said on the other end. Seth sighed in relief. "Just wondering how you were." "I'm fine, you don't need to call me," Etho said frustrated. "I'm not a child that you have to look after Seth," Etho said it in such a cold tone, it felt like a stab in the gut to Seth. There was a knock on the door on the other end of the phone. "Be right back," Etho sighed. Seth heard the door open. Etho yelled. "Jesus Etho," the voice he heard earlier had said on the other end. "You can't just come back and act like I'm not going to punch you!" Etho shouted. "Well then, thought I would get a warmer greeting from you than from Guude or Beef," the voice said calmly. "You went to them first!" Etho shouted, outraged. "Yes," the voice replied calm. "Dammit Nebris," Etho said before the call ended between him and Seth.
~Back to present time~
Nebris smirked at Seth his sword still in front of him. Etho drew his bow. "Don't you ever speak to me like I am your property, like I am entitled to do everything you say!" Etho shouted as he shot at Seth. "I wouldn't worry about me! I would worry about Nebris! Why is he so protective over Vechs?" Seth shouted towards Etho. Nebris' eyes darkened as rage filled him. Nebris charged at Seth. Nebris heard Etho shout at him to come back, but he didn't care. He chased him into the forest.
