The Magic Man Mindcrack AU Chapter 5: Summoning

Alex watched Edward from the safety of his dorm. Dan was drying his hair and putting on his pajamas. “What do we tell him if he asks why were acting strangely?” Dan shrugged putting his robe back into the closet. “We can only wait. It’s been like. A single day. School hasn’t even started yet. He’ll understand were stressed.” Alex nodded. Changing into his pajamas they fell asleep to the sound of the wind rustling the leaves outside the window.

The rays of the sun licked the horizon. Teachers woke up early to ready for the first day of school. Eager students milled about the hallways. Alex and Dan stood by Edward at the door to Dr. M’s Summoning Magic class. “Theres four main magics. Life with Mr. Bax, Destruction with Professor Vincent, Summoning with Dr. M, and Elements with Mr. BoulderFist.” They nodded. The door creaked open showing a very enthusiastic Dr. M. “Students. Welcome to the summoners class! Come inside.” The trio sat in the front row. They noticed Kurt, Zach, John, and Nathan were there as well. Dr. M looked over his students smiling as he met the eyes of the seniors. “Now to introduce ourselves, we will make a circle. Say your name and siblings if any.” Students shuffled into an ellipse and Dr. M stood in the middle. “We’ll start with me. My name is Dr. M and I have no siblings.” Dr. M gestured towards Edward. “My name is Edward Slab. My siblings are Dan Beef and Alex Unpause.” Someone raised their hand and Dr. M called on them. “Why do they all have different last names?” Edward started to reply then frowned. “Were part of a foster family. We’re still brothers though.” It went that way until everyone had said their information. They all sat down and Dr. M started telling them stuff. “Okay so let me demonstrate a summoners spell.” He flicked his wrists towards the ground and a small figure appeared from the ground. It growled then Dr. M bopped it on the head making it disappear into a cloud of dust. They clapped and Dr. M held up a hand making the room settle into silence. “Edward and Kurt come up here. They walked up and stood in front of the class. “Now summon a Skeleton.” Their hands joined and a skeleton rose from the ground and started walking around. “This is the joy of the Summoners magic.” Everyone clapped and cheered except Nathan who was admiring Edward.

I've just started reading these now. They're very good! I have to say it's clever how you made Team Canada all related, in a way.
