I really didn't think I could write anything like this, but I came up with a really good idea for some SMS the other day. Then that idea turned into another one and another one and next thing I know I've got a fic planned. Here it is!
Kurt walked to Zisteau's base. It was getting late, and he really needed to tell him this idea for a prank soon before he forgot it or something. It wasn't often that he got ideas as good as this one, and it would be perfect to play on Vechs. He finally arrived, crossing the new glass bridge. Kurt looked up at Zisteau's mountain of a base. "Zisteau! Are you home?" There was the distant sound of blocks breaking from above. Kurt sighed and pulled out his enderpearls. With a quick toss he was up and in Zisteau's base. "Zisteau?" His only reply was the sound of something crashing around inside. Kurt drew his sword and walked in.
What Kurt saw was not what he expected. He expected a zombie or a skeleton to be crashing around, breaking everything, not Zisteau. The interior was a mess. Items were strewn everywhere, half of the wall was torn down, and several things were broken. Zisteau stood in the middle of it all, glaring at a intact part of the room. Kurt stepped towards his friend. "Zisteau?" Zisteau turned and glared at Kurt, before growling at him. He advanced towards a trembling Kurt. "Zisteau? What's wrong with you? It's almost like you're a real pigman..." Zisteau growled before stopping suddenly. Something seemed to click inside of Zisteau and he went limp. Kurt looked over Zisteau. "Zisteau? Are you back to normal?"
Zisteau groaned and slumped against the wall. He seemed to take in what he'd done for the first time and shook his head. "Not again..." He noticed Kurt. "Kurt! Oh my gosh no! You can't be here! You can't see this! You can't... You can't understand."
Kurt frowned. "Of course I can understand. Now let's clean this mess up and talk about it shall we?" Zisteau sighed, he was grateful for Kurt's practicality in times like this.
A few minutes later, the place was looking orderly again. Zisteau and Kurt were sat on the couch sipping coffee. Zisteau sighed. "You probably want an explanation for all that don't you?" Kurt nodded. "Well a long time ago, when I first came here from the nether, I was a zombie pigman. But as I associated with humans, I became more human to the point where I'm almost fully human now. But recently... Every night I'll lose control of my body and just destroy everything. And I can't stop. It keeps happening for longer periods of time every time. Are you following me so far?"
"Yes. So you basically turn back into a zombie pigman every night and wreck everything."
"Right. But tonight was different. Usually it stops at daybreak. But today I forced it to stop, and it did."
Kurt felt he knew the answer, but decided to ask anyway. "Why did you force yourself to stop?"
Zisteau shifted uncomfortably. "Because I realised, I was going to hurt you. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. I... I do all I can to protect you. If I hurt you..."
Kurt smiled. "The important thing is, you didn't hurt me. and you forced yourself to stop. Let's focus on the positives."
Zisteau waved his hand. "Right, right. Positives. There's a couple of things I've noticed though. Put your hand on mine." Kurt hesitantly placed his hand on Zisteau's. "Do you feel how warm it is?" Kurt nodded. "That's new. Also, look at my eyes."
Kurt looked up and stared into Zisteau's eyes. "Your eyes... They look like demons are controlling them."
Zisteau nodded. "Indeed. They've become a lot darker. Your eyes shine so bright. I want to save you and that light from me. I'm a monster."
"Zisteau, you are not a monster! Maybe this is fate, and something good will come out of this."
"No. This is woven in my soul. I need to let you go. I tried to hide it from you. I don't want to hurt you..." Zisteau tried to stand but Kurt pulled him back onto the couch again.
"Zisteau! Listen to me! We will figure this out together."
"I can't escape this now! It's too late! The only way to fix it is to go back to the Nether. And I'm never going back there." Zisteau looked up at Kurt with pleading eyes. "Kurt, I can't fix this without your help. Can you help me, show me how to be human again."
Kurt smiled. "Of course I will!"
