Day 13 - W92Baj

I just realized... today is Friday the 13th and this is the 13th story in this calendar. And poor Baj is in fact a little bit unlucky in it...I swear, that was not intentional! XD
...Wait, I mean of course it is, I planned this all along! Ha!! ...XD'
Anyway. I was looking forward to this promt the most and dreading it the most as well. I had fun with it and hope you do too =D

Summary: Sometimes, boredom is the better option.

Day 13 - W92Baj

He would not move, could not move. Not with THEM close by. If he did, THEY would see him. He did not want that. Not now, when he had all these things to bring back home.
Baj swore. Not out loud, mind you, but still. Why did he have such bad luck now? One of the green cads he could deal with, but three? He had wounds. And no means to fight them. He had done rash things in this world when he was weak, but not this time. He could not die here.
So he had just one choice: stay put and wait.
Baj kind of wished he had brought a friend with him for this trip. It would have been nice to have a pal here to talk to now. Or not, THEY would hear it and come for them. He sighed.
What did one do, on his own, bored out of his mind? Even so, he did not dare to let his guard down so that he would hear the hushed sound of feets, should THEY come close.
This would be a long day.

… not trying to be a spoilsport here since apparently all my schoolmates say I am (yes schoolmates even the ones who are just acquaintances), but is "even" a one-syllable word…?

*tosses self into a rubbish bin/garbage can/etc and points towards the sentence after "What did one do, on his own, bored out of his mind?"*

Crap, you're right! =O Even is most definately not a one syllable word. That slipped by in my control readings =/ Well spotted and challenge failed XD'
...I'll have to make up for that somehow.
