Just after hitting Floccesy Town, Thero heads up to Route 20 to make the next catch, where before we can make the catch, we have to trounce a few trainers. Zisteau burned them all to a crisp naturally. After this, we venture into the grass to find...
Sunkern! Level 2 male, Grass type.
This was an interesting catch because I've never used a Sunkern before in my life so I had to go off and do a bit of research on them before I picked the name. Apparently they just fall out of the sky in the morning. Wow. Anyway, a little research into them and the evolutions, I discover that the species apparently wakes up at dawn, is insanely active and hyper all day until the sun sets at which point they sleep, until the sun rises and they're just happy and bright and hyper all day long. That's why I decided to call him...
MC Gamer! Profile: Hasty nature, proud of its power. His ability is Solar Power, which raises his special attack in sunshine but lowers HP. Not sure I like that but okay.
We headed back for a little level grinding before I decided to move on for more trainers to grind on. But apparently I beat them already in the hunt for MC...
Moving on wards and upwards, we come across the Floccesy Ranch, and a new area means a new catch - lets hit the long gra - Kurrururrr what are you doing here? A battle? NOT READY D8
It got worrying. I almost lost MC, I'll admit that now. Kurruru only had his Oshawott but still, it was a rough fight despite the type advantage. I ended up having to switch in Zisteau to finish the job but we survived. Tall grass here we come!
Lillipup! Level 4, male, Normal type.
I'd wanted to catch one of these in Black 1 but never got the chance really. Useful little ones, if used right. So, what name did I pick?
Kurt, of course! Profile: Impish nature, highly persistent, and his ability is Pickup - !!!!!! Hands down one of my favourite abilities in the pokemon games. Allows the pokemon to pick up items after battles, aw yes. So handy, Kurt you are wonderful <3
For example, he just gave me a Super Potion, something you generally can't get until after the first or second gym. Very handy Kurt, you little explorer you.
Of course then I spot the perfect Millbee pokemon and since its in the same area I can't catch it right now. I have my eye on you Future Millbee, just you wait...But then Kurt gave me a Hyper potion, and everything was fine :D
And while chasing after a lost pokemon, someone threw us a TM: Frustration. Huh, the move that gets more powerful the more the pokemon hates you...Lets not use that.
And that's all for tonight. I'm going to work on grinding the pokemon for the first Gym challenge, that will be the next update you get. Are you excited? I'm excited! With Zisteau, Vechs, MC Gamer and Kurt, I should be fine...right?

Date: Monday, October 29th, 2012 09:09 pm (UTC)They're gonna need that bubble wrap. Though MC is pretty easy to train when he's not taking hits, all his moves centre around taking HP from the opponent and using it to boost his own. Vechs is a little more tough, he's got no decent moves yet. Zisteau just burns everything or tackles it to death and Kurt just bites everything and picks up stuff he finds on the ground.
