Past midnight my time, dang XD' I did not make it.

On the plus side, this is - so far - the story that has turned out the best. In my oppinion at least Xb

Day 4 - Nebris
There it was. It had taken almost an hour to find a large - and unclaimed - formation of glowstone, but in the end it had payed off.
Nebris smiled. As he had said before, he had been good and had been careful and considerate in collecting his resources. Even now, after everyone had settled in and had begun to explore new land, he was still careful.
It had taken some extra time, but now he had in sight what he came out here for and he would get it.
“Hey man, where are you going? -Oh, you found some, that is great!”
He just had to get over there now and grab it, that was all. It was not even all that far.
“Wait for me, I have to get down to you first. It wouldn’t do to waste a potion on something as stupid as falling damage after all.”
It was too high up to be able to reach it from the ground, so he would have to mine some of the netherrack first and stack it up to a temporary tower. Good thing he had brought a new pick for this trip with him. Nebris stopped right under the glowstone. How high was that, 9 blocks probably? There was a wall to his left, so he got to work.
“Do you need blocks? I think I have some cobblestone, hang on...Lava!”
The netherrack fell quickly to his pick. Five, six… he heard something sizzle and then a dull thud. Seven, eight…
“That was close. Are you alright? Man, I hate these occasional bits of lava in the walls, they are deathtraps.”
Nine, ten. That should definitely be enough. Something hot dripped on the floor next to him as he turned and looked back up. The glowstone was close now. He began to climb. It did not take long to get up and it did not take long for his pick to break the first block. Again, Nebris smiled. He was not sure where he would use these blocks yet, but the familiar light was nice. The next block broke. And the next. And the one after that. It was fast work, despite the size of the deposition. This was fun.
A shriek and then a yell filled the air.
“Nebris!”
A second later he felt the explosion. The fragile netherrack below his feet was gone and he was flying through the air. Then things went black.

His skin itched a bit, like it often did when it came into contact with a potion.
“Ah, you’re awake again.”
Nebris blinked and looked up. Orange glasses looked back at him. He blinked again and then he recognized who was apparently kneeling next to him. Slowly he sat up.
“What was that?” Nebris still felt dizzy, but it seemed the worst had already been undone by effects of the potion.
“A Ghast. You need to pay more attention to your surroundings, really. I don’t think I will team up with you for exploration again if you’re always like that. I almost had a heart attack there. Just two blocks to the left and you had gone straight into a lava pool and then all the effort would have gone to waste.”
At this Nebris scratched his head. Sure, things could have gone wrong. But they didn’t so as far as he was concerned all was well. Considering the look thejims gave him, he decided against saying that out loud.
