Pre-emptive TL;DR -- I need help, and I'm opening commissions to trade my services as both an artist and a writer for that help.

Anyways, more info on that past the break.

So, I've mentioned before that I was considering opening up for commission work. ... *holds out a box with a 'will work for food and new computer' sign taped to the front* ... and I have a couple reasons for turning down this route, despite knowing how dry the market is right now (and this will be made even more difficult with the personal restrictions I've made for myself...)

As it stands now, I'm currently in between jobs, and due to a financial screw-up on my part, I lost my usual cut from my participation in my clan's business. Fixing my screw-up is first priority here, and I'm hoping that I can at least find a few scraped-together dollars here to go towards that cause.

Secondary is the fact that I'm looking for a new (and more powerful!) computer to replace the (broken!) box that I used to livestream and make YouTube videos with. Should we (together!) manage to fix the aformentioned 'screw-up', I'd like to work toward a new box, and trading art/stories for help from you guys might make getting to that goal that much easier.

Totally up to you, guys, though.

That said, my policy is simple: Name your price, pay the up-front minimum, then pay me the rest once I complete the piece. Feel free to throw me a note or two if you want to discuss details and the final price of the piece I will be working on for you.

Now, I'm a terminally slow person, so to keep things fair and moving, I'll only take paid commissions in batches of five, first come-first serve (or by whoever decides to pay more. It depends on how bad things get on my end, but I won't worry you guys on that *genial smile*.)

Things to know before you pull out your wallets, though: Yes, I will draw/write most things once commissioned, but I draw the line at indecency, tasteless nudity, erotica, crass language, racial slurs, religious slander/bashing, and unjustified hate; further, if the subject of the commission makes me uncomfortable, I will reserve the right to refuse the commission. I will also take necessary liberties if the description and references for the requested piece are -insanely- detailed.

Stories are written in Google Drive in 11point Arial font, and are often one-shots in nature.
((Note: If I'm requested to write a ship-fic, it'll never go beyond fluffy and there will be little to no PDA (public displays of affection, including kissing.) Also, like the art commissions, I also reserve the right to refuse a commission if the subject requested makes me uncomfortable. My apologies in advance.))

Standard - $12
Generally, these run between 10 to 12 pages long.

Light - $3
Generally, these run between 1 to 2 pages long.

I do take Paypal payments for commissions (it's the safest, most guaranteed way to make sure your cash makes into my hands), but I also take checks and money orders.

I can be contacted, as stated, via the DeviantArt Note System, over Dreamwidth's private messaging system, or on Skype.

Please send me a Note before requesting one-on-one time on Skype. I don't hand out my Screenname and Paypal info willy-nilly for good reason.

All commissions are automatically private submissions and will not be featured on DeviantArt or Dreamwidth unless the customer agrees to make the final piece and accompanying information available for display.

I'll update this post with examples and snippets of my more recent work (with permission from the commissioners!), and the status of availability as time will allow. Thanks for your time and consideration, you happy lot. <3
