More Mashed Potatoes myah! (I know they pronounce it slightly differently - frankly, when Mhykol says it, it sounds like "meow" - but did Vechs get "myah" from Mashed Potatoes or vice versa??)

Episode 9: Pause | Mhykol
Episode 10: Pause | Mhykol

We're now over halfway through this "season" of Group Rewatch! What non-current OOG[E] series do we want to do next? Do we want to get sucked into Legendary for the rest of time, or do we do something else? XP We also don't have to do OOG[E] next, depending on what you guys want.

Also, just because it's no longer Sunday doesn't mean you guys can't keep participating! Use this community to its fullest advantage and post all of your feelings and thoughts. Or would you rather keep it in weekly chat posts? Let me know!

Gods, those boys. Pause's extreme derp and panic in Episode 10 compared to Mhykol's calmness in the face of the Skittering Mines is just incredible. Also, Pause, goddamnit, don't blow up the fucking diamonds...

As far as the community is concerned, the activity on the chat post just goes to show how much we have to say on a daily basis, and that's only really the four of us. As someone who comes from a lot of fanfiction LiveJournal communities, we should make it so that if/when the community grows, people aren't afraid to post just about anything, not just fic like quite a few communities over there try to do. It would also encourage more people to make more accounts and then we can have more awesome conversations!

I think if we do start posting constantly, though, we should consider using a really robust tag system to make sure new people can find just about anything. The fanfic master list might want to be in this community as well as on your page, too - it's a little difficult to go back and forth between the two, or it was for me when I first found this place. I have a lot more comments on tagging and organization, but I'm probably going to make a new post for that when I get a chance to sit down and think :)

I don't think I want to jump into OOG Legendary, but a different OOG or OOGE could be fun, or else a Beef/Pause one.

I really like the idea of a weekly chat post, but obviously we could post discussion topics any time we wanted. That'd just be a nice way to keep the community active if it's quiet.

As for additional "outside guests" I'd suggest Juicetra. Also, now that you mention it, I'm surprised there isn't anyone interested in Brian/Kurt fic. They seem like an obvious pairing.

You know, I just had a thought--I've actually never seen UHC 1 or 2. Those might be fun rewatches as well, and I'd be all up for them. As for OOG or OOGE, I've actually never seen any of the OOGE stuff (not the biggest Etho fan and there's just too much stuff to watch, so those always end up getting sacrificed), so having an excuse to watch OOGE might not be a bad idea. Also, provides more shipping potential with more people. (Even though I'm sure that BDubs/Guude alone are raunchier.) We could always put it to a community vote.

Brian is lovely and one of the few non-Mindcrackers I sub to. He's a bit older (36, I think), and has a PhD as I understand it, so he's very smart and always trying to figure out the mechanics of things, how and why they work, etc. He'll obsess for an hour over a weird visual glitch with actual interest. (Versus putting on an act of pretending to be interested in something for a video.) His LPs lack some of the SPARK that some of the bigger LPers have, but he's enjoyable, and he and Kurt together get along nicely. I feel like Kurt is much more himself around Brian than he is with even other Mindcrackers.
