Quick vote for next season of Group Rewatch: OOG Portal 2, OOGE Spellbound Caves, VintagePause Lethamyr, or something completely different?

I'll watch the episodes in a bit, maybe not tonight, but for now I'll cast my vote for the next rewatch as either Portal 2 or Lethamyr, on account of I never saw those series the first time around. Plus I was never too crazy about Spellbound Caves.

No time to watch tonight either (I just caught up on eps. 9 & 10!), but of these choices my vote is for OOG Portal or VintagePause Lethamyr. I've never seen Portal anything, so I think that could be a lot of fun.

I've never seen the entirety of Lethamyr or Portal 2 either, and Spellbound Caves is definitely the only OOGE series I've watched from start to finish, so my vote goes to one of those two. I don't think I've even seen a complete play through of Lethamyr at all, but...the past two re-watches have both contained our favorite flirty Indian, it might be time to give him a break XD

Okay, episode comments:

This was the first footage I saw of people finding a stronghold, and after having seen other people look and experience a lot of weirdness concerning ender eyes, I'm impressed how easily they managed to find it.

I love Beef's joking about the cats. Not as much as I loved the 11,000 subscriber jokes, but... cats.

And so begins their long, arduous task of collecting ender pearls. I remember this being a big sticking point.

Aww, Pause still likes to periodically visit Baj's grave. He really does care. And there's Beef and Guude picking on him like assholes.

For some reason I'm really drawn to that moment when Pause gives Beef the healing potion in the nether, and Beef makes a comment about him quickly becoming a team player. Like previously he'd go off on his own to try to hog the glory, but his concern for his friends overrides his need for individualism. Maybe he already learned his lesson when he got down to half a heart that one time, but I like to think seeing Baj die was real turning point for him.

I definitely had an 'aww' moment with the potion. Beef really did seem quite surprised, and Pause is sort of 'What? Of course I care.'

Most of the teasing is the usual stuff they like to needle Pause about, but I think he was actually really hurt when Guude said he should have protected Baj more. He went so quiet. :(

Some fun innuendo in these episodes ("My fucking Guude" followed by "I'm coming all over!" and of course "Pause has a rod." "Yes he does!" or whatever it was that Beef said so nicely, hahaha.) But yeah, the really stand out bits are the friendship showing. It's not just Pause, either. They're all working together much better. They're grouping up to kill the endermen, for instance, and "covering" each other from other mobs. The potion moment was really sweet not just because it's Pause giving Beef his potion (because there's no doubt in my mind that Pause would share with Beef or Guude if they needed it), but having the foresight to think that Beef might need it. It's just nice and selfless, which is an unusual trait for Pause--then as well as now.

That is also the dinkiest stronghold I've ever seen!! It's ridiculous!

Ooh, yes, I didn't mention it, but I did notice the general working together thing as well. It was really cool seeing them cover for each other while hunting endermen.
