Fanfic - Third Time's the Charm
Saturday, August 10th, 2013 08:21 pmThe last part in the series! Hope you all enjoyed :3
Summary: It's almost a casual meeting, if you could call it that. Last in a series of threeshots.
The third time they meet is under more dubious circumstances.
Vechs comes crashing through a swirling Nether portal that had most certaintly not been there the moment before. He hits the ground face-first, inhaling more than a mouthful of dirt before he can catch himself. It takes him a few minutes to even consider moving again, let alone standing up.
He almost chokes on the dirt that's forcing its way down his throat when something sharp pokes him in the side. "Hey. Get up."
He lifts his head from the ground, spraying dirt from his mouth like a sprinkler with water, except, well, with dirt. Something is standing off to the side and he carefully tilts his head to see it.
It's a pigman, standing over him with a stone sword. It keeps a neutral expression for the most part, tapping one foot in a blantant show of annoyance.
The pigman pokes him in the side with its foot again. "You've ruined my garden and that portal'll take forever to remove without a diamond pick. Get up."
Vechs half-heartedly climbs to his feet. He briefly catches another glimse of the pig's face before it turns away. The look in his eye, it seems like... recognition?
Ignoring the pig for second, he decides to study where his uncomfortable landing spot. Sure enough, he's half fallen over in a flower patch. Behind it sits an odd tower - almost a monstrosity, for lack of some kinder term - that shouldn't be able to support itself with the way its built, yet it does. A potato on a stick, he decides eventually, is what it reminds him of.
"You built this?" Awestruck was not the proper term, but it's not exactly common to see a pigman doing anything but snorting loudly and occasionally attacking something in a blind rage.
"Yep. Been at it for... a week? Dunno, I've lost count. Got caught up in the stupid water elevator." He turns back to face the man still lying on the ground. "So, you going to tell me your name this time?"
This time? Had they met before- Oh, it's the... oh.
He grins cockily despite the chunks of earth still stuck in the crooks of his teeth. "Vechs. You guessed right the first time."
The pigman seems almost annoyed with him, though the slightest smile is forming at the edge of his mouth. "Zisteau. So, what brings you to my survival island of boredom and isolation?"
"Trying to get lava, last second explosion. The usual."
"Is that it?"
He thinks for a bit. "Actually," Vechs says after a brief consideration, "I might have a proposition for you..."

Date: Sunday, August 11th, 2013 02:44 am (UTC)The proposition, almost canonically, is Zisteau's playthrough of Sea of Flames, which later lead to him playing the other SH maps. I always figured there must've been some story there. :)
