Pause was excellent but I couldn't pick one favourite moment, it was all so great. Guude is the best lawyer, I want him to represent me in court if I ever need it. And Zisteau lighting the prosecution on fire, well, it's pretty easy to tell which side he's on!

Though I wonder where this key witness has disappeared to? Wonder if there will be a murder charge brought up...

YAY A NEW FACE HELLO! I was so confused when your reply popped up in my inbox at first. I was afraid I'd somehow posted to the wrong comm. XD

I'd take Beef for my attorney any day, his opening was so slick! And Zisteau, oh man. As for Kurt, I didn't check is he online in any of the tabbed windows? I have to imagine he'll actually come out as a proper witness at some point, though I really don't know. Hope he shows up!

I watched a few perspectives, I paused Neb's video to see who was online, mostly everyone was at the trial aside from Avidya. I hope Kurt shows, this is probably just the shipper in me talking but I'd love to see his reaction to Z supporting the folks he'd be testifying against.

(I'm not that new, I was that lurker XD I gave in and made an account because I'm sorta writing a Z/Kurt thing after watching Millbee's FTL video.)

I was squinting at the jury the whole time trying to see Kurt's name. Maybe he's in protective custody? That bomb was still in the silo just before the wither fight.

Pause was only pretending to support the defense all along! Whoever made that theory totally called it! I knew he wouldn't betray his Canadian allegiance.

Other highlights: Zisteau's fire shenanigans, Guude telling off Pause when he was on the witness stand, Baj being totally okay threatening to lock everyone up, THE ANTI RAIN DANCE.

I just thought of something else, which isn't really related to the trial, but makes me laugh--that apparently Bdubs knows absolutely nothing about how trials work. (Pause, too, to some degree.) It's a good thing Baj, Beef and Guude do, otherwise this trial would've been a total mess! Bdubs being all "Why can't we call witnesses!" and Pause trying to call GenerikB to the witness stand, etc. It's so funny, but makes me slap my forehead, too.

I know nothing of how actual courtrooms work either, so I suppose it's good that some of them know the proper procedures. But the split between who knew and who didn't did make it pretty funny. I also like that the whole thing is somewhere between actually following the rules and inevitably being a farce of real courtrooms, like how the witnesses are part of the jury.

Honestly my favorite part of this whole thing was lying Nebris, and then the lightning when he started lying. The timing could not have been more perfect.

The lightning was so amazingly timed. I was almost afraid Baj was using ops or something to cause it. So funny. And later on when he's like "I'm actually scared right now" or something, HA! That's what you get for being cheaty, Nebs! Be honest!


Though I'm curious which side everyone wants to actually win? B-TEAM or TEAM CANADA?

I'll be honest, it's not looking great for B-Team right now, but who knows what part 2 will bring? Hmmmm..(And I can't bring myself to choose a side really. I think it would actually be kind of hilarious if Baj declared EVERYONE guilty. Not likely but the thought amuses me)

Also Also, I really really want Kurt to show up as a surprise witness or something. I was disappointed when I didn't see his name in the list of links D:

On a totally random note, can I just say UGH OH MY GOD about all the suits? Zisteau, Millbee, Doc, Guude (plus Beef and Bdubs and Pause as we knew before)...I like a man in formalwear so I seriously hope that we get plenty of fanart for this. :P Shallow mod is shallow!

Also I TOTALLY CALLED IT ON PAUSE'S DOUBLE AGENT SHENANIGANS OH YES. I knew that his approach of the B Team was suspicious from the get go! Guude staring right at Pause all accusingly during the opening statement was awesome, though. XD

Beef looking up at Pause all "Pause. Eyes on me." in that effortlessly sexy Beefy voice and all suited up - OH GOD WHAT ARE THESE THINGS I'M FEELING.

MC! Oh my kappa. And his reaction to the lapis is pitch perfect. (Doubly funny in light of the leaked extra episode of Good Morning Mindcrack as well.) And Guude trolling with the names, good gravy.

This server is pretty much the best ever, isn't it? Just amazing.

Also, you reminded me of the "Eyes on me" bit and HOMG YES THAT WAS AMAZING THE FEELS. I'm usually a bit wish-washy when it comes to Pause/Beef, but that made me all aflail and ready. Pause may control the field when they're out on UHC together, but Beef's got it in the bedroom? :D :D :D?

Pretty much the trial was perfect and I cannot wait until the next part and also yes, the suits. It's really weird that I find them so attractive in the suits because THEY ARE FUCKING MINECRAFT PIXEL-BLOCK PEOPLE, but they totally do. Gomeric, Six, RedDye, artists everywhere. Please, some Beef in a suit. Everyone in suits. All the fanart!

I just want to point out - Bdubs's intro mentioned lust. Is it the lust of MC for lapis, of Nebris for cheating, of Zisteau for fire? Of Bdubs and Etho for justice? Or for Pause, for whom even a promise could not break his love for his Canadian teammates?

We keep talking about OOGE threesomes, but I'm still waiting on my Team Canada threesome. Especially with the 'eyes on me' bit. With Millbee all the way over in the jury and barely any interaction from him yet, I'm really feeling the PauseUnBeef here.

Nebris makes my heart melt every time. I really want to see an actual picture of him, because he seems to be about my age and if he is hot, the next time I am in Boston I am going to look that boy up. Dayyyyyum.

This is the first really big event that's happened since the group was formed, I think, right? Or was UHC8 after the comm existed? But either way, we're in full swing now and this is a Big Event, so I think it makes sense there's lots of discussion. It's AWESOME to be sure.

I am definitely feeling the Pause/Beef too, but I feel a bit bad for Millbee over in the jury. But it makes sense, too. Interesting that GenerikB is one of the key players in the trial, even though he's very new to the server. Everyone else is pretty seasoned. Just interesting. I think we can blame him entirely for the trial and the whole "show" aspect of it.

Edit to add: Thinking about it, originally we had OOGE split up (Guude and Bdubs vs. Etho) and Team Canada split up (Pause with Guude, Bdubs and Generik and Beef and Etho elsewhere.) Team Canada reunited with Pause's defect, but OOGE is still broken. Which is interesting and seems "right" in a way. Team Canada do a lot of things together, but OOGE only really ever interact during the maps they do together.. Just interesting...

I posited on Reddit (before it went down) that perhaps it was inspired by Etho's ...fascinating... reaction to the Efficiency X pick Guude found in Vinyl Fantasy 25, even though that has nothing to do with Mindcrack (the server). XD It may also involve the bribed ones' love for their respective things (lapis, glowstone and cheatiness, lava, redstone...speaking of, Doc's overreaction to finding redstone when caving with Anders was golden!)

I don't feel Etho's relationship with Pause and Beef is extraordinarily strong all the time, though I'd love for this trial to prove me wrong. Still, OH MY GOD MY VINTAGEPAUSE FEELINGS I HAVE SO MANY OF THEM. "Eyes on me." Just. GAH.

Nebsyyyyyyyyy nebsyyyyyyyy <3 <3 <3. He was adorable in CobbleHATERS too. We are probably around the same age and I would not object in the slightest to finding out if he is attractive or not. He fascinates me because we're rather different but I empathize a lot with his commentary style and the references he chooses to make. (Similarly with Orange Wool.)

...It helps that Reddit is down, but yes, I am so excited for the future of this community. <3 I'm glad so many people find this place worth visiting!

Oh yeah, Bdubs' intro. I wondered what the lust was about. Someone in the reddit mentioned bloodlust. That seems to be the most sensible explanation to me (unfortunately?).
