Previously on Isi's Mindcrack Mod Adventures:

We've secured one Anderz, as well as a pair for Doc and Baj. There aren't many left now, and it's time to venture back into the tundra where a thousand Docs reside.

I head east. Past the jungle where I found Baj, back into the endless snowy plains. I wander quite a bit north as well, knowing how far up the biome stretches from my first visit here. When I finally feel I've gone far enough, I set up a new map and begin exploring.

There's an Arkas here. This is good, but even though it's been ages since I found the first Arkas, way back in the nascent days of the Cheaty Swamp, Arkas has never been a sticking point in my mind. That's reserved for the other people I still have yet to find: Anderz, who I could have been done with at this point had the first one not died, and Pyrao, who's turning out to be the most elusive one of them all. Still, Arkas. I'll take him. There aren't many defining landmarks in this terrain, so I leave him by a frozen river as a means to find him again.

It's around this time I start going a little crazy from the search. There are a lot of Docs in this biome, sure, but after a while, their herd seems to stop, and instead there's endless numbers of Beef instead. And this bare, snowy terrain just goes on forever. The most interesting parts of this journey were the bits that deviated from what I was used to. Like here, I find a rogue Zisteau communing with his porky cousins.

I begin to make up stories to entertain myself. I imagine I'm an arctic explorer, endlessly wandering the wilderness, looking for a specific few people among the tribes of tundra, trying not to get caught up in the native affairs. The enormous clans of the Docs and the Beefs are warring nations in this land, fighting for control of the land. Most of my journey took place within the territory of the Beefy Empire, a proud people to have thrived so much in this harsh climate.

Oh, another brief, unusual sight. One of the distinguishing features of the Beefy Empire compared to the Doc Clan is their diversity. The Doc Clan is a more homogeneous group, but the Beefy Empire encompasses smaller groups within their territory, presumably from previously conquering this land from its weaker inhabitants, like a smaller tribe of Just Defys. Presently they seemed peaceful enough, but when I attempted to engage any of them, no one could point me to the direction of an foul mouthed Swede or a kid dressed as a dinosaur.

Further still, there is land that has not yet been claimed by either the Doc Clan or the Beefy Empire, instead inhabited only by the indigenous snow sheep, who I suspect may be secretly self aware and actively guarding their land against the other warring peoples. Here it's sheep as far as the eye can see, which admittedly is not very far, so perhaps that is not the most apt turn of phrase. But I assure you, the domain of these sheep is so vast that even hearing the previously irritating sound of a mooing cow is a welcome diversion.

The mostly untouched landscape here, though bitter and harsh, is occasionally beautiful. One may even say pristine. But our business here is far from tourism, and it's hard to find comfort in natural beauty when we are no closer to our goal than before, with the cold biting at our toes still. A foul mouthed Swede and a guy dressed as a dinosaur. No one has seen either.

It's small comfort to note there is a spare Arkas or two within the Beefy Empire, as well as an MC, who so far has been a rare sight as well. But there are rarer sights that I have not seen, here or elsewhere, and it looks like I won't be finding them here after all.

The map is complete, and this is by far the biggest taiga biome I have ever seen. I don't want to see snow again for a long time. Let's go, Arkas.

Of course on my way out I pass through Doc territory and pick up a few stragglers. And I swear that Mhykol fell out of the damn sky. I heard fall damage behind me and suddenly he was there. I manage to shake them both early on.

Gosh, I didn't know there would be so much swimming on the trip back. I did go quite a bit north, so this is probably the same ocean I crossed on the way back from Guude Country. But I suppose it's better than crossing jungles.

We made it. But my two sticking points, Anderz and Pyrao, are still out there.

Anderz x1

Next time: The search has gotten desperate, but you'll never believe HOW desperate.

Ahahahaha, warring Doc and Beef nations, with inner tribes of Just Defys, and snow sheep. You had me cackling. And my goodness look at that map and all that snow!!

AHAHA I just noticed the BdoubleO face on Zisteau's chest. That is so funny. And so random. Glitching through I guess, but WEIRD indeed.

I think the dinosaur kid is extinct. :/

The render fog makes the snowy landscape look cold and frosty, I like it.
